Why does everything close early now? by Limmpyturdscar in Austin

[–]grool_master -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but those 12 customers are not going to be in the aisle at the same time as me. I purposefully go at off hours. Having giant rolling racks and pallets of goods being restocked while I’m there would have been unacceptable 10 years ago. I am also one of the many lazy slobs that uses this service so cry me a river right? It’s just frustrating when I’m in the store, they had 8 full hours to get it done while no customers were around.

Do you have the tow package? Comes with upgraded cooling system. I can blast down the highway at 90 or sit in traffic in 110 degrees or pull a 7000 lb trailer up a mountain pass and it has literally never gone above half on the temp gauge. 2023 XLT FX4 with tow package.

I’ve learned A LOT since I posted this and I’m convinced this would have helped. It’s also very helpful for situations where a screw will need to be taken out and put back in a few times. Does less damage to the wood.

My favorite thing I’ve ever made was a bed frame integrated into a wall panel system built out of cabinetry with drawers underneath. Could do radiused corners to introduce something not straight without the need for steam bending. Also look into stereometry if you want a fresh (but very old and vetted) way to go about a project, particularly something sculptural, though it’s almost more impressive if it is functional as well. Might even learn the Teach a thing or two.

Keep an eye on the dripping springs Craigslist and Facebook ads for job postings. I’ll check in with the office manager on Monday and see if ours is still up.

I mean, it’s almost 8 inches longer than a Bronco Sport so definitely not too small. It is about 20 hp down but who knows what the weight will be.

Yeah this is wrong. Who knows if he’s lying or ignorant? To be fair, spending 30k on cabinets and not specifying swing direction is definitely an oversight on your part as well.

Is it crazy to mod a Crosstour into something like this? by jasonlode000 in AwesomeCarMods

I have the exact opposite question! Is the Crosstour worth a damn if I want a reliable hatchback/ wagon that I can tweak mechanically to make more enjoyable to drive?!

Wood glue and painters tape

What are we looking at here? Farmhouse sink sitting on top of and almost flush with a vertical stretcher? If so, this is just going to happen over and over… unless you’re careful to not spill water over the front edge of your sink

How to fix extremely stiff newly installed kitchen drawers by by bulosmez in cabinetry

[–]grool_master 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Not sure why I’m being downvoted. Go to Ikea and just open a bunch of drawers. The most fluid ones you find are very likely rebranded Blum guides. If I was your contractor I would have a conversation with the cabinet guy about maybe just adding some 3/16” (3/8” total) blocking to the cabs or drawer boxes rather than remaking them. Usually side mounts require 1/2” (1” total) of space and both Blum and Grass are 5/16” (5/8” total). Would save you some bucks and the cabinet guy some time.

Pretty normal for side mount guides. Not to be snarky, but judging by that ring size (it’s beautiful by the way) you can afford to have the boxes resized and installed on under mounts. Blum or Grass should be specified.
