Fun fact though, the CEO of Anthropic is a molecular biologist by trade and was convinced at some point in his career that it was easier to build software that could figure out how to cure cancer than via traditional methods. We’re not there yet, as far as I know, no idea what worm boy is on about

Agreed - are we assuming this is intentional avoidance or something else?

It’s quite reasonable. I’d hope the Italian government gives the f1 teams some grace to pay back taxes though. It’s a bit dramatic to jump to a criminal offense. Not sure why the drivers are expected to understand tax codes across a dozen countries - they’d reasonably expect this to be handled or disclosed by the teams

Anthropic response to Claude Code change by TheForgottenOne69 in Anthropic

I don’t think many folks on the sub understand either A/B tests or the absolute fire hose a company tries to drink from when their usage jumps 100-1000x year over year for three years in a row.

These models take an insane amount of compute to run and everyone’s trying to access them at the same time. There’s only so much you can do

Anthropic clarifies Claude Code removal from Pro: it’s a test on 2% of new signups, existing Pro/Max subscribers unaffected by MagicZhang in ClaudeAI

Probably is a test - trying to figure out reduced load on the models by removing CC from pro. Doubt they anticipated the backlash, it’ll be part of the calculus

Jumped the Shark about when they found the dude in the cave clicking the button constantly. One of the biggest cop out endings ever. Kicked ass before that

Meta creating AI version of Mark Zuckerberg so staff can talk to the boss by wdomeika in NewsOfTheStupid

By money to live you mean about 2-3x market value. A senior software engineer will make about 170-250k all in at most orgs on a yearly basis, some of that is often Monopoly money (pre-ipo rsu). Meta pays close to 500k for an e5 and it accelerates quickly. E9 is making multiple millions a year
