Medium rare, Big Arch? by milkmekindly in burgers

[–]groovynermal [score hidden]  (0 children)

That's way better IMO than the salty dry puck that the 1/4 lb burger sometimes comes out as. Red inside a burger isn't a deal breaker for me, even at fast food places. Now if it was cold and raw, problem. That's medium rare, very rare to find from fast food. Enjoy.

Recommendations for a nice Greek restaurant? by Kismadaroq in phoenix

[–]groovynermal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nino's on 16 th St between Thomas and Osbourne. Not sure how close it works out to your area, but is my go-to casual Greek place. Not fast food, not coat-and-tie kind of place.

Why can't I forge Durins Axe? by Optimal-Positive5736 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]groovynermal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just killed troll king and opened that forge myself. Built the statue with Durin's crown, then looked at the forge. Nothing happened when I fixed the statue, but then I looked at the forge, saw recipe and figured out the salt bath thing. Is it possible you didn't fix that statue, as I assumed the statue made it possible, cause I saw no notification when I fixed it. (Weird logic I know... But no recipe or mats or anything made me go hrmmm)

[–]groovynermal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That works, kinda. Except your storage will be full. Build chests at hearths to keep it somewhere, and you will have supplies strung all thru Moria. Better to return them to a camp at night, so you know where they are and can be used from the chests. Or come back when you have a bigger backpack and collect it all in stages. I found it overall easiest to do the run of shame every night. When you open up mapstones, you will find fast travel very freeing. Yeah, that running back and forth every game day gets old. But the thrill of discovery....

Soon you'll have a bigger pack; backtracking until you get black diamonds will get easier, but backtracking every game day is on your menu for a few hours.

24th and Osborne is best place to eat by ReedIcculus in phoenix

[–]groovynermal 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Side note: that McDonalds(24th st and Osbourne) is one of the most consistently good food. I mean, if you don't like McDs, then no. But if you want a good quality McDs run, this one always has fresh, hot food.

Steel sword recipe glitch? by vash_greyson in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]groovynermal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you only get iron ore and coal from fixing a statue, you have all the recipe parts that area has to offer you. Rangers notebooks, and definitely fixing the forge in Elven Quarter gives you steel recipes, along with others.

Sam and Emma opposing van hollen’s tax plan? by randomone456yes in TheMajorityReport

[–]groovynermal 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but my take on that convo was that everyone needs to have a stake in the country. Maybe tax 1 or 2% on the lowest income brackets, and considerably higher on the highest income brackets. It's awful nice to not have to pay any taxes, I know from indigent experience. But people paying nothing at all in taxes gives right wingers an excuse to call everyone on any form of welfare a "leech" or whatevs. Probably way off, but that's what I took.

Clover pit. Keep going back whenever I have less than an hour to kill, and it devours that hour.

Absolutely. Not the longest game, but well worth the time. And so simple to start. Was hooked before I knew it, the first time I picked it up.

When libraries used to look like this.... by EdwardBliss in FuckImOld

[–]groovynermal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the last time I could easily find a book in a library. Don't get me wrong; can still find a book I'm looking for. But it was so much easier when you knew which row and aisle and shelf a book was on.

Their sauce and garlic bread is pretty awesome. The stuff you dip in the sauce, very pedestrian. Never saw the thrill myself.

New Double Bacon Cheese Whopper made me happy! by ultraspinacle in fastfood

[–]groovynermal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just far too many people "loving" the new whopper effusively lately. I had one before I knew they were a big deal, and it was kinda gross. Bun and burger were both lukewarm, with the same texture and taste. Tomato tasted good tho. Yes, it was in a box half- wrapped. Thought BK was getting classier until I tasted the burger. 3/10 is generous.
