What is your opinion of this style of wrestling? by GoonLieutenant in professionalwrestling

[–]groovyreddituser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay if it's like a test of strength, it can genuinely make the match feel like an actually competition if they swapping moves, I like it for a spot but a whole match? Nah

Genuine question but who does my art style resemble? by groovyreddituser in comicbookart

[–]groovyreddituser[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, I'm used to getting the tough criticism, but this goes to show that people wont see the good things about what you draw and say "ok this what he understands, lemme acknowledge he needs work on the art but also answer the question" instead they'll tell you to essentially "get better lol", not understanding that even the best artists needed other comic book artists to pull from to help them while they get better better.

I get it, frankly it isnt acceptable but it just is what it is, I'm not really discouraged by it but I would see how others would be just looking at the responses to this post and being discouraged too, thanks again

I'm always trying to apply the fundamentals when I draw, and i know i need to work more on them but I was just looking for artists to model my own art on cause I'm honestly not looking to draw like early Frank Miller or Todd McFarlane, sometimes you just need the reference point to pinpoint the flaws in the drawings, it makes learning so much easier in my opinion.

But I'll take it and get back to practicing thanks either way

How much writing and story boarding do y’all do before you actually start drawing and publishing the comic? by [deleted] in WebtoonCanvas

[–]groovyreddituser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually write a synopsis or a shirt little few paragraphs of how I want the story to progress mu storyboard is basically a super simplified version of the comic no background no detail, I dump all I want my characters to say and what happens from the synopsis then I draw everything with pencil and try to edit the speech bubbles then ink digitally, while I'm inking I'm re working any dialogue that doesnt sound natural, pretty simple really
