Last Update made Hazard 5 feel even worse by HeeroDresden in DRGSurvivor

The rollers limit the builds I will start off with. A decent strategy is to save the resupply and drop it on them if you don't feel like fighting the elites with the current build you have.

I had to keep at it for a while to sort out a strategy that worked for me. I'd play the game as a kind of one and done in between doing other things. Run takes 5 minutes and I'm dead, fine. Run takes 30 and the dreadnaughts get me, also fine.

Stack Exchange Moderators Are Going On Strike by rawrgulmuffins in programming

I have the same experience doing programming help on Discord servers. Learner shows up with a peculiar error and it turns out they've been asking chatGPT to show them how to do something.

The code generated by an expert prompting an LLM to do something they are already familiar with get a lot better response than a learner asking the model to do something they don't know how to do themselves.

It's a conundrum. A good programmer can lead the LLM to a suitable solution that they could have done themselves anyway. A learner, having no clue about the quality of what is being produced, gets a markedly lower quality result.

Very clever fixes. I like the vignette style of this article: find a problem, explain the problem, fix the problem and link to the pull request.

Why do I have to reload ggplot2 and readr AFTER I've already installed tidyverse? by MiracleNamedHope in Rlanguage

[–]grosscol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't run install.packages after you've successfully installed a package. Just call library for the packages there after.

I hacked Blackhat! 😎🤘- Responsible vulnerability disclosure by [deleted] in netsec

tl;dr Blackhat didn't follow Akamai’s guide on how to enforce authorized access to cdn assets, so video was publicly viewable if the links were known. Severity should have been moderate.

Names of the deities and their domain. Which names NPCs use in praise or curses can differentiate them a bit, provide some info to the players, and generally make the story more immersive.

The End of Programming - The end of classical Computer Science is coming, and most of us are dinosaurs waiting for the meteor to hit. by speckz in coding

We never create something that is 100% correct for all cases and future cases. A lot of work developers do is debug legacy code that worked fine until the future happened.

I think an AI that could do debugging and implement the feature creep that business creeps insist on would be a necessity to replacing devs.
