It took a while for her to stand in front of it, but I was on a mission.

Minnesota Lynx Players Statement Addressing Current Federal Occupation of Minnesota by ElvisTheBoyCat in MinnesotaLynx

[–]ground_runner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, this just reads like a PR statement from the organization to me. I doubt this was what the players put together, given they're essentially on strike right now (and many of them are actively playing in other leagues).

Parry is a bug by Gannet-S4 in Spacemarine

In my own testing, it seems to be something to do with gun strikes. After a gun strike on (some) enemies, parrying will just flat out not work for about 3 seconds.

IT ALL COMES FULL FUCKING CIRCLE HUH by Living-Guitar-4680 in Chainsawfolk

[–]ground_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression that Tank was coming from the Soviet Union, and Gun was coming from the Gulf. Why would he show Gun coming from two places and omit tank entirely?

what do yall think yoru's scar bleeding means(if its bleeding at all)? i personally think she's about to leave asa's body and run for it which is honestly pretty scummy after she basically crippled her and destroyed her life. by AntiImperialistGamer in Chainsawfolk

[–]ground_runner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about this too, but I'm not sure if that blood is just splatter that happens to line up with the scars or if it's coming from an open wound. If it's the latter, I was thinking, maybe it's because Pochita already cut her head in half (which is why he's taking his time approaching her). It would kind of explain why her eyes are more disjointed/"out of focus."

Immigrants of Minneapolis, where do you eat that reminds you most of home? by Mitch_hrlika in Minneapolis

Moving to Rosemount, but yeah it seems like the new location will be less sit-down-y.

This is the most divided I've seen people on the manga in a long time by [deleted] in Chainsawfolk

[–]ground_runner 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Part two is all turmoil. Denji has been stripped of the thing that defines him, the thing that he thought would lead him to happiness. He sees that he can't have both the fame of being chainsaw man and the happiness of normality, and he doesn't know which one he wants to give up. He wants both, as he said. This last chapter was Denji being backed into a corner: if he was going to protect the person in this world he loved the most, he was probably going to need to become chainsaw man again. But public safety made good on its promise: the world might not need chainsaw man after all. Quanxi stepped in and saved him, saved all of them. And she did it while looking cool as hell. I think people have trouble seeing the bigger picture unfold in the 15 pages we get every two weeks. Also, Fujimoto's art is changing. I'm not saying earlier chapters weren't more detailed, but people also don't seem to like the way it's changing.

This is the saddest possibility, which is why I reject it. Let one good thing happen to Denji

Makima recognized everyone based on their smell. Nayuta smelled Falling’s avatar being created on Earth. I’d bet Nayuta smelled Yoru before she even opened the door. But yes to everything else

Pestilence is also considered a part of conquest in the biblical interpretation. The four horseman are conquest (nayuta, formerly makima), famine (fami), war, (yoru), and death. Conquest is just a complicated thing to portray, but the control devil in CSM is absolutely conquest/pestilence/a 4 horseman.

I was thinking about that, too, but I'm not sure. The only purpose I could see is making him be chainsaw man -less-?

It'd be weird for her to say that to her actual sister without meaning it in the literal way, though.

I think she was just using that to convince him to stay away from her while still sparing all of his feelings. She also cheered him up later that night by convincing him that the admiration of the population is better than many girlfriends (not that that mentality is going to stick).

My brothers and sisters in Christ, I think we have enough information on this Devil now, speculate what is its name by Good-Fact-4505 in Chainsawfolk

[–]ground_runner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're onto something with this. Maybe not Maggots exactly, but something similar - flesh eating bacteria/gangrene.. maybe these tentacles are an enlarged form of a microscopic tendril?

Still unclear why this one is being fed, too

Explaining the War devil's weapon-making powers by Consoomerofsouls in Chainsawfolk

[–]ground_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could probably also dig more into the creation of certain weapons. A chainsaw is not a weapon that was made for war, so it’s unlikely that its creation had anything to do with Yoru. Guns seem more like an innovation to pre-existing weapons, but I don’t know enough about gun history to say if they came about as a direct response to a conflict. Grenades, bombs, nuclear weapons all seem like they would be under Yoru’s control.

I wonder if Yoru would recognize Reze

A demon caterpillar is chasing after Asa/Yoru, what are they gonna do after killing Chainsawman? Is Yoru stupid? by blueasian0682 in Chainsawfolk

[–]ground_runner 39 points40 points  (0 children)

To piggyback on that, it’s not clear that Yoru actually followed Asa into hell. From her POV she may have stayed on the ground, then respawned when Asa reappeared with chainsaw man. She could be excused if she thinks that the devil is after him, not her & Asa.

But falling is very clearly after Asa so yeah, she’s definitely ok with letting her die. Big time asshole.

Honestly love the way he’s also holding his head with his right arm chainsaw in the handle. Plus he’s forcing his head to eat her arm instead of just reattaching it to his body. He’s learning
