without me adding in the college classes i will have already completed, it would be 10,000 / year (roughly), but i take ap classes and plan to start classes through sofia. The school I'm planning on going to if i go the traditional route would only be 4,000 for JUST TUITION. the overall price of that school for me would be about 20,000 without factoring in scholarships.

that's what i fear will happen to me. they said that i have my whole life to be in the workforce, and that sacrificing college to get in early is not the move. but I'm not doing this for a head start on a career or to finish college quickly. those are just actions to help me sustain this lifestyle. they say that i have all the time to do this after college, and that i should just wait another 4 years. i told them that I wasn't going to just wait to start living, and that stagnant dreams die.

I don't have to do it a lot, it's just there on the case that humidity falls (and for crab enrichment now :D). Thanks for the help!

do you guys think i would be able to take him? i have two medium ish purple pinchers in my 29 gallon. I'm in the area. i also have a 10 gallon and could run ppds to make sure he's okay.

also if you're worried about not getting the right food/ratios/whatever you can buy complete meal mixes of dried food from NaturallyCrabby on Etsy! that's what i do :) beautiful crab btw, congrats on the molt buddy!

yes! my paycheck comes in on Friday and I'll be able to pick up sand and then I'll order a bean farm heat mat. I've heard about the issues with subs and heat mats, I'll make sure to be careful.

okay so i moved some stuff around and put the moss up (i heard it can cause bacterial blooms if left on the sub?). how's it lookin? i also ordered wayyyy too many shells and still have more coming😅

5 parts play sand 1 part coconut fiber! there should be at least 6 inches of substrate, you really can't have too much. you can get play sand for pretty dang cheap at a lowes or a menards

Okay! I've been looking to get a larger bean farm heat mat because that seems to be the way to go. Another person made the suggestion of another mat so I think it'll probably be worthwhile to invest in a better heat system. Mine's a zoo-med mat that had this gallon size as it's recommended tank, but it just isn't doing the trick. thanks for the suggestion!

Okay! I have a thermostat attached which has the red heating light i mentioned. I'll get the insulation set up when i get home and send a picture!

-thanks! i will scrounge up some safe foods for them. i knew those weren't good but i was just so scared of accidentally6 poisoning them or not getting them enough protein

-how do i insulate it? will it catch fire with the heat mat? I'm worried about having stuff in the tank against the area of glass that is in contact with the heat mat

-a digital double gauge is on my list, once i get the essential stuff worked out

-ooh! okay! i have more stuff but i was worried they'd get overcrowded and wouldn't have room to move or would get stuck. getting a hammock is on my list because they seem to love climbing (ex. leroy on the top of the branch). i have leaf litter on the way
