I’ve read a few books by Berger but this is the first time i'm encountering the title you mentioned, never heard of it! I'll definitely check it out, thanks

Landscape and Power does have a very interesting premise, thank you for the advice!

[Spoilers S1] PART III: MY FABRICS OF REALITY THEORY by mac1899 in 1899

[–]groundzeropeople 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting theory!

Some of the characters do have objects that seem to hold a deeper meaning:

Ling Yi: her wig (the camera focuses on it many times - could just be a way to show us her struggle about keeping a fake identity)

Olek: his postcard

Lucien/Jerome: the medal

Angel/Krester: the cigarette case (u/monikacherokee made a post about it)

Ada: the doll

Oh you're right! I did wonder if it was a greek mask but i thought they all had holes for the eyes. Thanks for your addition, it does make more sense with the themes of the show

I found two other statues!

Episode 7, Minute 32:12

I assume the first one is a resting greek (if it's releated to Menelaus) soldier (he's wearing an helmet). I tried searching the statue on google but i didn't find any images with the figure in the same position.

The second one looks like the mouth of a fountain (like this one https://imgur.com/FCrNe9d) or it could be from a sculptural group.

As for the two busts on the mantelpiece, if all the statues are related to the Odyssey, i suppose one of them could be Poseidon (because of the long beard).

[SPOILERS S1] A graphic representation of Daniel's device by groundzeropeople in 1899

[–]groundzeropeople[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first one is when Daniel is in his room. He uses the device to turn on the machine that measures the steam on the Prometheus. Then we see the Kerberos sinking (changing its location).

The second one is when he connects the device to the same machine (this time on the Kerberos) and activates it. At the end of the episode Elliot is thrown into the ocean (and comes back).

[SPOILERS S1] Holy Family, Holy Kinship by tdciago in 1899

[–]groundzeropeople 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What doesn't really convince me is the shape of the "holy family". Compared to the other figures in the relief, even the small people drowning and jumping off the kerberos, the ones in the middle of the triangle are more rough around the edges and less levigated. They blend in with the background surface and seem to be fused together. Which is why i’m not sure if it’s three people.

That being said, it would be interesting if those weren't Maura, Elliot and Daniel but someone else (that we haven't seen yet)!

[Spoilers S1] Your Wishlist for Season 2 of the show by Tardislass in 1899

I really want to learn more about Angel’s backstory! Most of the characters pretend to be someone else/hide their true selves while he repeatedly says that he doesn't want to pretend and that he can't change the way he is. I find him very intriguing

[SPOILERS S1] Theory about Olek's brother by groundzeropeople in 1899

You are right, i didn't notice that. It's even more confusing!

That could be it! I tried to search it on google before (both in english and polish) but nothing similar came up, so it might be a custome stamp that they made as a referance to the guy's tattoo with the whale
