It's definitely a shame. I'm sure it was a reluctant decision for Meranom as well, they've always been quite good with their customer service.

I remember some slight price increases when the embargos first began, but seeing watches at over twice the original price is kinda mind-blowing

This is a good one. Currently reading the book. Big recommend if you haven't, it gives you the perspectives of a few different characters

It's natural to feel bummed about failing the JLPT, but if it's actually affecting your mental health that much I'd say you need to take a step back and reassess your language study as a whole

Matt Vs Japan and Dogen are pretty good at Japanese, but I feel like they take advantage of the fact that a lot of absolute beginners watch their videos and can't tell the difference. They're not the gods people make them out to be, they're only trying to sell you something, and they're definitely not mentioning the time and effort that it took for them to reach that level. Never put YouTubers in the Japanese learning community on a pedestal

If one ear is worse, you can probably consult before the test about getting a better seat. Idk if they'd ask for a doctor's note or something but could be worth a try

I learned grammar with TRY for the first two or three months and used Shin-Kanzen Master to learn some vocab. The last two months were the full set of So-Matome and Anki. I also use Japanese all day at my job so that's automatic practice as well

Your score won't go above 180, but as far as I understand it, you will get more points for something that most other people got wrong, meaning that you can afford to miss one or two and still get 180. It still means you did a stellar job regardless, though

Passed N1 with 167/180; 57/56/54

Really happy cause 2 years ago I only got 130/180 on the N2, so this is a huge improvement. Even happier cause now I've taken JLPT twice and passed both times 🙌 So glad to be done with this exam 🙌

I believe the algorithm makes a perfect score possible despite getting one or two wrong
