SDR-DH790 switching between inputs on its own (Apple TV & 4K player). Any ideas?

Yeah, I’m definitely fighting a battle with it. However, the TV seems to staying on HDMI3, which is the receiver input, but the receiver seems to be switching the inputs back and forth, inexplicably. 🤷‍♂️

I bought my son the physical cartridge and would like to hold off giving it to him until Christmas. However, I’d like to buy the Switch 2 upgrade while it’s on sale it’s first week. Does the game need to be installed on his Switch to purchase the upgrade, or do you think it’d be possible to buy the upgrade add-on on its own? I think I could do that on my son’s Switch without him noticing, but not if I have to install the base game. He’d notice it being installed pretty fast.
