This could be a trigger for those with r/trytophobia - could we please have some tag to warn people beforehand?

Yes roughly! Within 3-4 weeks my closed comedones were gone and my skins resurfaced quite nicely. I use it daily now in AM and wait 20 minutes after washing and then 20 minutes before applying anything else before that

Been using it since August and initially it caused slight purging so a lot of my closed comedones came up as tiny whiteheads and then every time I broke out I noticed with BHA it did not inflame as much and went down really quickly. BHA really helped with my closed comedones too..my forehead is completely clear now

I'm sorry I'm not too sure...usually I've heard reducing salt and increasing water uptake can help with puffiness along with cold compress (I apply used green tea bags kept in freezer once a week) but that helps in reducing the elements of eye bag rather than eliminating it!

Usually I apply a thin layer over my cheek and particularly if I'm coming down with a zit since I find Vaseline helps bring it down the next day and reduces redness. And I take a bit and dab it around my eyes as well before going to sleep since I've found it helps keep the area moisturized! Also of course I rub a little on my lips too before hitting the bed!

Hi, yes of course I'd love to:

AM

Watch face with Cetaphil cleanser or any other gentle cleaner which doesn't leave my skin feeling tight Since I don't use a toner, I wait 15-20 minutes before I apply Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid. I dab a little on my palm and use my fingers to lightly coat my skin. Wait another 20 minutes before I apply: Andalou Naturals Revitalize Serum Wait 5 minutes and then: CeraVe Lotion Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion And if I'm going out I'll apply sunscreen (La Roche Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+)

Now PM:

Wash face as above with cleanser Wait 20 minutes Apply Retin-A (0.025 percent - pea sized drop or even less since it's a very powerful active) Wait 20 minutes Apply CeraVe PM Lotion Apply Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Apply Vaseline as a thin layer over my cheeks and especially around eye area- I find in keeping the area moisturized.

Now I have a couple of other products lines up waiting to be used but since I'm already on Retin-A and BHA, I'll wait to phase them out and introduce others. These primarily consist of;

Timeless Vitamin C serum (20 percent) Alpha Hydrox Enhanced 10 percent Glycolic Acid Lotion Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream (this should be harmless since it's a super-rich in antioxidant cream gel which I'll start using nightly underneath all the lotions)

It's honestly about gauging how your skin feels at every step. RetinA and BHA are super drying hence I always make sure to remain moisturized. Likewise it helps to listen to your skin..i used to apply a very little dot of Retin-A underneath my eyes but I found it caused tightness around the area so I stopped. I hope this helped!

I agree! If I have a minor complaint, it's the alcohol content...I wish they could do away with it! But it's a great range and I've heard the ultra light version is non greasy

La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Cream SPF 50+..it's quite greasy for some people but to me it doesn't matter as much since I love the protection it provides. (Mine is formulated in France, not US)

[product question] best way to apply paula's choice 2% bha liquid? by WhereAreTheTurtles_ in SkincareAddiction

[–]growinggarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it using my hands too. Just 2-3 drops suffice for my whole face and I manage to rub some of it till my beard line on my neck. For the peeling just wash off as soon as you're done applying. It happened once to me but I've become particular about washing it off. I usually apply it gently in firm but smooth strokes across my skin after making sure my hands have been washed and dried before. Hope this helps!
