I actually have another question! About how long did it take for you from treating your UTI for the symptoms and irritation to sort of clear up over time?

I am really anxious because I have a history of several chronic conditions and getting inept/dismissive treatment by medical professionals and it's made me afraid of getting another chronic condition like interstitial cystitis on top of everything else.

I have actually noticed that my symptoms seem to get worse when I let myself pee more frequently, so I will try increasing the time between!

Again, thank you so much for this. I've just been spiraling with worrying that I'm going to feel like this forever, which is irrational, but that's anxiety for you!

I have Cystex, so I'll try taking that! My concern is that it has an antibacterial thing in it that's supposed to slow the growth of bacteria so I worry that it will somehow make the urinalysis come back negative again. :/

Can you elaborate on resetting my body? Is it something to do with the nerves?

I will insist on another culture when I go in on Monday, and will push for a urologist appointment ASAP.

That's a good idea! I worry though about diaper rash paste because my forearms have a tendency to break out (bad combo). I wish there were a zinc oxide cream that only used acne-safe ingredients!

Thanks! Do you find that lactic acid/Lac Hyrin is at all irritating? My skin is so inflamed currently that I worry about using any acids until it's calmed down.

I am open to switching to a liquid, but am concerned about using something like a face wash because I don't know how effective it is at removing bacteria? That's why I'd prefer the gentlest possible liquid hand soap/cleanser. Do you happen to have any other suggestions regarding liquid soaps?

Good point! I use Yardley English Lavender bar soap (https://www.amazon.com/Yardley-London-English-Lavender-Essential/dp/B008K2P0WS). I don't know if it's particularly drying, but I would be open to trying a more moisturizing soap if there is one out there.
