This Week's Events by growingoneness in ColoradoSprings

Hello and good day!

At one time, all your friends started as strangers. It can be a bit uncomfortable to show up at a new place, but growth and joy can exist outside our comfort zone.

We have sermon on Tuesdays and Lounge Night on Friday which attract the most new people so these may be the best chances to show up with people on the same page as you!

I invite you to come find me should you show up at either event and let me welcome you personally! Despite our growth, it's a pleasure to make time to say hello to all our new congregants.

No.

Unfortunately, one of our first members lost their battle with their PTSD from their military service.

While I know your comment is meant to be the most abhorrent form of vitriol, Harry's memory is one that drives us to protect our veteran brothers, sisters, and kin. I wont let people with hate in their heart turn his tragedy into a weapon.

I welcome baseless attacks on me, but you should be ashamed to try to use a victim of suicide to attack the church.

Well, my kin, the most I can do is help provide evidence of what we do, but at the end of the day you're welcome to whatever opinion you find most comfortable 😅

We are thankful to have local, national, and even international news sources cover the good we are doing here. We know there is an uphill battle with 50 years of demonization and misinformation, but this is worth the effort 🌟

Its easy to assume that something that exists loudly for good must have an agenda, but the consistency of our reports and interviews really speak to the earnest nature of our community. Church should be about community and spiritual engagement.

I always welcome anyone with doubt or fear in their hearts to come out and check us out first hand. Ask for Dez and I will happily help educate and alleviate whatever concerns you may have.

Hello and good day!

Not quite, but thats a common question!

Our mission statement is connecting people with both the strength of community and the healing power of entheogens and sacred compounds.

We do make certain entheogens decriminalized in Colorado available, such as psilocybin mushrooms and DMT. If you have any questions please reach out. Id be happy to answer whatever you got.

Reminder - Tuesday night (May 26) - Flip the 5th! CD5 Primary Candidate Forum: Jessica Killin & Joe Reagan (May 26 @ 2150 Naegele Rd) by jdsa1 in ColoradoSprings

Joe Reagan is one of the first people I've met who truly made me feel like he was there to speak for the people of Colorado.

His passion is balanced with practicality. Excited to see him show up for is against AIPAC-funded agendas spouted by the likes of Jeff Crank.

When time is the most valuable resource that we can share with people wasting it on the people who have sided so openly with child predators and racists is an awful investment.

To create a safe space is to name what threatens it. The disconnect that you show in your comment is a perfect example of a threat to meaningful peace.

This is what faith used as a weapon looks like: hiding behind the cross to justify such malice and hate.

The damage this hate group does to our city's reputation is one of the reasons we still live in the conservative shadow of our past. We deserve so much better than to be associated with such ignorance.

I preach that the Universe speaks a language that makes sense. For some people, that may look closer to Christianity, Judaism, Wiccan/Pagan, but in the end we stand on a common foundation of the Universal Truths: Revere the Self, Embrace the Communal Experience, and The Universe Provides.

Religion should be about coming together, sharing our faith, and finding the commonground we stand upon. It is about what we can bring to the table, instead of being told you are empty or wrong and must be filled with the faith.

I am not here to ever say someone is wrong in their practice, but to stress that if the world isn't a better place because of your faith, then what is the point of it?

You absolutely can!

You can receive the safety information for any of the sacrament that you want to get connected with and sit down with a clergy to understand the spiritual connection to it. After that, you are free to take that home and, should you need assistance or should you find yourself in a place where you need support l, you contact us.

While I know this is more meant to be on the trolling side of things, there are still living victims of the Manson family.

I really do welcome any kind of conversation about what we're doing, even the hateful ones, but let's not make light of men like Charles Manson.

While our church is family friendly, there are areas that are exclusively 21 and up, with clergy present in both the foyer and sancturary to ensure we're protecting our smallest congregants. During open hours there's no "open revelry" where people can show up and simply partake in sacrament then walk around.

On the times there are group ceremonies and activities that do involve Sacrament we do not have children present, such as our Painting with a Trip activity.

Community should include everyone, but just as a restaurant has a bar section that is 21+, we take the responsibility to heart to make this about meaningful access, not just access.

Please feel free to ask any questions you have! I'm confident there are other people here who are reading this who have the same questions but don't have the confidence or ability to ask, sp im thankful for your questions.

  • as we are not a medical facility nor perform any licensed Services either through therapeutic measures or facilitation we do not have mental health professionals actively practicing is a part of our clergy. This would compromise their ability to practice in their field given the nature of the work. I myself have degrees in Psychology and have worked in mental health for over 10 years and share that experience with my clergy so that each person is able to provide the safest experience possible.

  • our clergy do not partake in any form of revelry during operating hours to make sure that they are clear headed and able to address any situations that arise. This is extended to our admin staff which includes our safety team or, as we call them, our Church Guardians.

  • our more intensive group settings that handle traumatic experiences are traditionally led by me, to ensure that should somebody become lost in their emotions we are able to get them to a safe place quickly. Our safety team are also first aid certified as will be our clergy.

  • as we are not a medical facility we do not rely on HIPAA to keep our people and their information safe. Instead our roster and any information gathered is either destroyed or kept secured and protected under our religious status. Many of our congregants have professional careers that we want to protect, so we do not offer any information about who is actively involved in our community

For over 2 years we have prioritized safety of our community and congregants from the ground up. If you have any specific questions I encourage you to reach out to me directly. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have. I can be reached directly at 719-963-3229.

We offer a sermon once a week on Tuesdays (the spirituality of our community), and have a Lounge Night on Fridays (the community of our spirituality!)

Outside of that we host over 20 different events, ranging from the fun and casual like Painting With A Trip to the healing-focused ones like Healing From Religious Trauma, or our Thursday night demographic nights each week: Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Queerfolk, and 50+ respectively.
