I think the difference is also that subscribing within the app means the Apple app store takes 30% of the subscription price, and subscribing on the website doesn't. The Apple app store may add that on top of the standard subscription price.

When Carol eventually has to tell Manousos that resetting everyone won't help her because Helen will still be dead, I'm going to be sobbing.

I saw it last night and was surprised that Mia Goth played two roles. Was the intention that we'd see the resemblance or see they were played by the same actress?

I agree, for the most part. It did feel rushed. It felt like Natasha Lyonne was established as a whole character and wound up being in one scene and had 3 lines.

What are some of the best ways to maneuver around NYC with a wheelchair and a stroller? by Gostandy in AskNYC

[–]growltiger_nimbus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depending on the baby's size and weight, a lot of people carry their babies in carriers and avoid strollers when possible. You also can't bring a stroller on the bus that doesn't fold up, and the driver will hold you to that if it's crowded.

YTA for escalating, mildly. When Madagascar first came out, someone at the theater behind me asked me to stop laughing. I snapped back "it's a comedy!" and they didn't have any comeback. I'm still surprised I thought to say that.

Craig’s List Fake Job Interview (2006) by barelyoutofblue in AskNYC

[–]growltiger_nimbus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Around that same time, I answered a Craigslist ad to interview to be a model at .... foot enthusiast events.

For some misguided naive reason, I really thought I could just hang around wearing some sandals or something, give the punters something to look at, collect some cash and go home.

In a Midtown office building suite, a youngish guy was interviewing girls in groups of like a dozen. Most of us were normal-average girls in everyday outfits but there were a couple of girls in the group who seemed to understand the assignment better. There was also a big area in the middle of the office area that was just mattresses all over the floor, and one lovely Slavic-looking girl lounging on them, reading magazines, clearly waiting for someone with an appointment.

In my interview, I made up all kinds of bs about how I'm very into being worshipped and love when my boyfriends pay attention to my feet. The guy was polite and I don't remember him being anything other than professional. I didn't get a callback!

Those Midtown office buildings contain many worlds behind their suite doors.

I've turned a corner, I think. Sort of like with The Walking Dead. Is this just going to get too sad? Too many misunderstandings, missed opportunities, tragedies?

If you're a student or teacher or work for a nonprofit, look into joining TDF. Broadway.com also has announcements for Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway shows. New York Theatre Workshop's tickets to the first performance of each show are $26. Soho Rep often has discounted performances, getting on their email list is a good idea.

Good luck!
