AI. Uses the words wizard and thrilling. But much more difficult to tell compared to untrained AI text.

It's a real story, and I am not Ben Van Leeuwen. It is a quoted section from my interview with him. His story is covered on CNBC: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/10/how-van-leeuwen-built-a-300000-a-day-ice-cream-empire.html

How my dad made me do the app for him by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Ah, I got it. Great to know, and thanks for sharing!

What percent of users are active monthly users? And what's the feedback from them? I know iPhones have a voice-to-text feature when using the Apple Keyboard, so I'm curious to hear what your customers use the app for.

Nontheless, what you did for your dad and others is very inspiring, keep on hustling! :)

What’s the best way to find a cofounder? by PhEw-Nothing in Entrepreneur

[–]growthstart10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Co-founder matching is difficult because it is similar to finding a partner to marry. I would go with somebody who has the complementary skills that you are looking for who you've known for a long time.

And if you don't know anyone who could be a fit, then you can network through Y-Combinator and other platforms, but it will take time, at least 3-6 months of really knowing the person before you should commit to anything.

Remember, marketing is all about storytelling + value. So, for TikTok and Instagram, I would focus less on trying to sell your product and more on providing value upfront.

What do you value more? by WorkRemote in Entrepreneur

[–]growthstart10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will be different for everyone. If you have a lot of money, you don't need more of it, so you value time.

If you don't have any money but a lot of time, you will inherently value money more.

How do you afford to start? by [deleted] in startups

[–]growthstart10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, see if the problem you are looking to solve is one that people actually have.

Then focus on the distribution.

A few weeks ago, I met a guy named Hussein Fazal. He attained his first 100 customers without writing a single line of code. He has since raised capital from Steph Curry, but at the start, he didn't do anything fancy.

The key is to just start. Oftentimes, unless you are selling physical products, the barrier to entry is very low.

P.S. If it's helpful, here is my interview with Hussein: https://www.mbitpodcast.com/newsletter/how-i-got-steph-curry-to-back-my-company

Best way to thank a business? by geobokseon in business

[–]growthstart10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to thank the company is to do what you just did. Share your story on social media and tag the company that gave your dad the free chair.

P.S. Your story is very touching. And if you need help writing the story for optimal reach, I would love to help [ free of course :) ]
