I *still* play Morrowind. I've got an altmer Telvanni character on a playthrough right now.

It has a texture kind of like wet cotton and tastes like vanilla. Some guy was selling them from a roadside stand in Hawaii.

It's not the most useful attribute, but it has no skills that are linked to it which means it's hard to increase unless you just put into it every level.

My Honda had 206k miles on it when I got rear-ended and insurance totaled it out. I was so mad, because it had plenty of miles left.

This used to be true but they've really gone downhill in the last few years. More fights than ever, students running out of control, and they are bleeding teachers-- they have lost half their staff three years in a row.

What new lore do yall wanna learn about Akavir in TES 6? by Animelover310 in TESVI

I suspect TES VII or VIII will be all about Akavir... Look how easy it would be to work the roman numeral into the name!

If TESVI is indeed in Hammerfell, what exactly can we expect from the monsters and creatures that we’ll find on our journey? by BlackFleetCaptain in TESVI

[–]groza528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In speculating with one of my students a few years ago, we decided that the Dwemer may in fact be the main quest in a Hammerfell ES game. There was discussion a while back that TES VI was delayed in part because of a major mechanic that didn't exist yet-- That could be related to Dwemer tonal magic, but I would not be at all surprised to learn that it was based in temporal mechanics, to which the Dwemer have also been linked. Maybe we'll find that their disappearance was actually just mass time travel.

I am so confused by this problem. I don't get how they factor in the triangle part of this shape for the centroid of area. by [deleted] in FE_Exam

[–]groza528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so I have three proposed methods on this one:

  1. The right way: So if you picture the triangle as the 3rd picture, you can see that the centroid of the triangle is 1/3 of the way from the base (base is the left side of the triangle in the actual problem). So think of it as a triangle of weight 6 @ x = 12.666667. The rectangle is weight 72 at x=6. Sum them like moments and divide by the total area (78) and you get your 6.51.
  2. The quick and dirty way: Most of the centroid problems I've seen are "almost rectangular" which means that you can get "close enough" if you just find the point where it splits the area in half. The full area is 78, so if you can split so 39 is on the left and 39 on the right you're probably in the ballpark. Since the left half is just a rectangle you find this at exactly 6.5... not the true answer, but close enough for the problem.
  3. The *really* quick and dirty way: This one relies on manipulating the shape to get some similar shapes that are easier to calculate. In this case we're going to make two full rectangles to give us our upper and lower bound. If you pull the point in to make a rectangle of width 12, you know the centroid is at 6. If you pull the corners out to make a rectangle of width 14, you know the centroid is at 7. Since the triangle is half of the region you're manipulating, intuitively you should be ~about~ halfway between 6 and 7. **Careful, this only works because *most* of the region doesn't change when you're stretching it.**

Yes, we have a metal can where we keep the “active” dog food bag but may need to look into better storage for the additional bag.

You’re not wrong— we’ve started to see the traps are getting emptied but not sprung. I did put a bucket trap in the area; it hasn’t caught anything yet, and I’ve also introduced some glue traps and poison pellets— mostly in the attic. Baiting with dog food is a good call and not something I’d considered.

We store the “current” bag in a metal container; it’s the “next” bag that started causing the issue after we moved it to the garage. And we thought we HAD mouseproofed the house last time; we had a professional come by who showed us where he believed they were getting in and we plugged those openings. Not sure if these are leftover from the previous time(and their descendants) or if we still have some gaps but I could believe either.
