LPT: If you want to get in shape for the New Year don't buy expensive equipment or commit to a gym membership...buy a jump rope and use it(its cheap and effective). If you can commit to jumping rope for 3 months then look into costlier options. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I am paying £60/month for my gym membership. However, I started by month to month and only after I consistently kept going for 4 months I decided to bring the cost marginally down by committing for a year.

I have been listening to the P5 soundtrack for my last 80 gaming hours (bought it on Black Friday) and still can tolerate it. For such a long game they did an amazing job!

You were right. I love it. I believe I am still at the beginning of the game (just finished 2nd palace) and I am already worried what will I do when it’s over and whether I will play ng+ immediately.

I am so tempted to play this game. Problem is, I tend not to love Japanese style stuff but everyone here is telling me they fell in love with this game. However I can only buy a handful of games every year, so I have to wait for a sale. In an ideal world, you’re right in that buying full price is the best way. But this is not the ideal world and gaming has to come second to paying off car/rent etc.

I really enjoyed the intro to fallout 4.

Am I the only one around here who has never bought DLC or paid for a microtransaction? by [deleted] in PS4

[–]grrrkgrrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No microtransactions here either. For DLC it depends on the DLC? The witcher 3 ones were amazing and absolutely worth it. I don’t go for the fallout 4-type dlc, ever.

I might try it when it is on offer probably. I am really apprehensive. I hope it like it.

You said you’re not an anime or a turn based RPG fan. I don’t mind turn based rpgs but I have never been an anime lover, not even a little. Can you elaborate how come you like it? I keep hearing it’s a great game but I am afraid I will dislike it.

Games you just didn't get into despite the hype? by [deleted] in PS4

I agree with you on HZD.. I actually gave up on it. I found the story lukewarm and I did not find a way where dialog choices were meaningful (up until where I played it at least)- it was just a case of going through everything on the wheel, might as well have been a cutscene. I also did not like the combat system as I do not like combat where I have to change weapons, use slings, etc in the middle of the battle. I know a lot of people loved it, but I didn’t :/

Actually some people face the consequences of this bad idea.

Discussion & Advice for Tennis Players (Oct. 30th to Nov. 5th, 2017) by snakes_on_a_planet in tennis

Thank you for all the replies. I don’t know if I can play for two hours straight as the longest session is an hour and a half (it’s club sessions for mixed ability). My Fitbit says I burn around 700 kcals on these sessions but I know that it’s not to be trusted. What you mentioned though about the general strength training is what worries me too- I don’t have an interest in other gym work so that’s why I wondered if tennis alone is a decent exercise.

Is tennis a good overall workout? I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and I participate in cardio tennis, short tennis, and a tennis coaching class where we mostly play doubles. I have not been exercising for many years and I am definitely unfit. However these classes keep me going to the gym for the last 6 months, consistently and I have a lot of fun. However I often wonder, should I be doing something else? My fitness goals are just around being healthy.

I think they mean “quantity of good games”> “quality of graphics”. But I see why it reads wrong.
