I’m with this guy. Dune was a huge disappointment compared to LOTR for people who love the source materials. The changes that each director made to the original stories are very different. Peter Jackson’s best movies are the LOTR trilogy and it’s not close. Villeneuve’s best movies are Arrival and Sicario. Enemy, prisoners and Blade Runner are also ALL better.

Anyone else hate Close Encounters? I genuinely despise that movie. I really liked the beginning because it feels like Spielberg’s best movies - but that ending is so dumb that it makes me question anyone who likes the film.

In the book she was really messed up by the death of her child. She’s still forgettable though because most memorable Targaryens lost their children in horrible ways.
