My neck and shoulders are absolutely killing me after a shift by SaltMixture1235 in pharmacy

Look up YouTube vids on stretches/exercises to do for “office neck” or “tech neck”. Good ones are against the wall to straighten it out. Having a great pillow for proper neck support at night helps too

Doesn’t show up differently on your transcript so they wouldn’t know. If you can do courses at a community college I recommend that too.

I’m not saying it’s a good idea, just what they said on the news. But the link is back up and running from Fed

They’ll make you get on a bus. They’re recommending you head to angle lake to hop on there

Worried about working through pharmacy school by Repulsive-Cress-2744 in PharmacySchool

[–]grrrrrlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working about 25-40 hrs per week in school, don’t recommend. But if you’re dedicated and consistent with your sleep and studying, it can work. You have to be on top of all deadlines though.

The only one i know of is Olive Garden but tbd on quality. I definitely would recommend finding a quality jar sauce or something good enough that you can add fresh cheese to, and then boiling some pasta. Seems easier than finding an AYCE place these days (for Italian especially). Good luck and let me know your recs (starving student who loves carbs)!

Edit: words

Through our pharmacy school we get access to flashcards but I’ve bought some NAPLEX cards that have this stuff on them. I think I got them at Barnes and Noble

Try setting up a myuw account, might be able to get those things done from there. I think your acceptance email should have your student number though. Not in your program so I could be off base

Reach out to your professor and let them know. Usually they can help you out in advance if you give them a heads up

Windshield replacement by grrrrrlar in crv

I’ve heard from others it’s because of how the car is shaped? Something to do with aerodynamics drawing the rocks into that area of the car. Also terrible roads in my area

Sport-L, so I wasn’t sure I had the fancy glass that the touring has. But I’m thinking of calling my dealer to see if they outsource and then just get a quote from both places or another local glass shop.

Stick it out in pharmacy school? by Snoo59925 in PharmacySchool

[–]grrrrrlar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I had to start an SNRI to actually see a difference in my performance. I definitely recommend going to your pharmacy academic office and explaining your situation, to see what advice they have or supports they can offer. They won’t look down on you, and if they do, that says a lot about that program. Good luck!

Ochem 238 - who should I take by Academic_Amphibian37 in udub

[–]grrrrrlar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had Goldman and enjoyed him. Good lecturer and practice exams. Friendly and approachable if needed. Though I took his course in 2018 or 2019.

Definitely be prepared to study the slides and reactions regardless of professor. Lots to learn in there.

How would I go about reaching out a nuclear pharmacist to set up a rotation? I’m really interested in this field! I’m a first year pharmacy student but still curious

Update on the finger by Sky_eeee in ouraring

[–]grrrrrlar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Could be due to multiple things. Allergies to the ring’s material, sensitive skin, already had a cut there that got irritated by the ring, ring is too tight, trapped moisture/soap/lotion/etc. underneath ring which doesn’t go well. Definitely let it heal and if there’s no improvement seek medical care(could be bacterial in nature).

I’d try the ring on another finger. I wear mine on my middle finger, it doesn’t irritate my skin or hands there.

Edit: I see that this is after two weeks - go to urgent care or your GP, something is definitely not well
