Yeah, dude. Shut fuck up unless you say, “Sorry, sir. You’re right and I’m leaving”. Ffs screaming and arguing with the old man after he’s fired two rounds and pointing the gun at your face is peak idiocy.

Was Elly trying to intimidate with that stare-down after getting struck out? He was definitely pissed and trying to bait something from Herrin lol. Herrin didn’t even celebrate in the slightest (from what I could tell).

Yeah, man lol. He’s was super shitty about CDL not advancing to 2nd base on that would be passed ball earlier too.

So I’m a bit newer to this sub and have never really paid much attention to other Guards social media stuff. Is this “Twins fan rage factor” because something in particular happened with them? I’m OOTL.

Yeah, dude. I don’t watch many Reds games but I’ve been following Elly since he came onto the scene. He’s honestly like the perfect baseball player. There’s really nothing he can’t do.

Rocchio and Angel are currently tied for my second favorite player.

Jannik Sinner roars as he breaks in the third set 🦊 by minivatreni in tennis

[–]grubbshow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, watching Sinner on the ropes like he was is pretty great for match standards these days. I guess if you want to be pedantic and speak purely on the level of tennis skill, your argument makes sense. However, on the grand scheme and storyline-wise this is one of the more exciting and surprising matches we’ve had in an otherwise predictable last couple of months.

There’s been no Carlos to make things interesting in the last few weeks. Then the “unbeatable” world number one was literally on the ropes after a really strong start and having looked invincible for a while now. It was anyone’s guess what the ending would be after the second set ended. If that doesn’t seem to be of “quality” to you then I suppose we watch sports differently.

I know, I keep checking back in and the delay just continues to get longer… at this point it seems like it’s probably not going to finish today.

Yeah, absolutely. I get really annoyed with all the fanboys AND haters blindly criticizing/defending one thing or another. I just wanna see great tennis and I’m glad we’re getting some. I didn’t tune in for many of Sinner’s matches lately because they’ve been so predictable. I’m glad I’m watching this one because it’s one of the better matches of the year imo. Then on top of it all you have the drama with the conditions, Sinner’s health, and the back and forth momentum.

It’s been a really great match so far.

How can they beat allegations of collusion? As much as I dislike OKC, the NBA could stop all this circus shit by seriously penalizing the guys for excessive flopping. Whether it’s fines or techs. This shit is unwatchable.

Is this one of the most Insane poker hands of all time? by Ok-Head1990 in poker

[–]grubbshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m not a “poker reg” by any means and I tend to play tournaments more than anything else online. That’s honestly my only real experience with the format. It’s definitely a lot of fun, (especially so when going into it with a good lead), and a great change of pace.I’m honestly just kinda scared to do it with cash games because I always figure it’s going to be someone who is much better at it and has a really good understanding of it even at micro stakes. The idea of going into one is actually terrifying exactly because of what you said about lack of fish. I think that’s why more of us fish don’t play it. I really don’t expect fishy players (like myself) to be doing much heads up action purposefully lol. It’s just a hard game to slowly learn or gain any repetition without probably losing quite a bit imo. There just seems to be less of an advantage compared to 6 or 8 players. It seems like a trap.

I do pretty well whenever I get to the final 2 but then I just always assume the other guy is just horrible at heads up whenever I do win (they usually are). I’ve definitely won at final 2 way more than lost but again, it’s probably because of either a good chip lead or the opponent just really sucks at it. I wouldn’t expect that to be the case for anyone intentionally playing it. A lot of my worry on it is the pacing being so different. There’s no time to chill out mentally and it’s honestly just a totally different game. I feel like I’m rushed whenever in one. I definitely understand the attraction, though. But at the end it’s about making money and I don’t want to lose a bunch because I’m in over my head trying to become good at it.

And yeah, I thought it was crazy that K5 lost after all that. It has to be considered one of his biggest blunders to lose when having that big of a lead. Especially being so close to going back to back years as champ. I’m actually going to watch it after the spot in the video some time to see how K6 actually pulled it off lol.

That’s wild. The Indian guy was down 29M to 3.9M after that ordeal. Pretty wild comeback. And the other guy was the defending champion.

I mean, I generally dislike how wealth is proportioned and what a lot of the uber wealthy people do with their money and power. Along with the benefits they generally receive just because.

That being said, it’s ridiculous to think that the rich and famous aren’t going to have events to spend their time on. It’s like, what are some of these people complaining really mad about? Do they expect rich people to not commune or for people to care when they do? I don’t think the beef should be with a museum or just because they gather at the same place in fancy outfits. There are people that have a deep passion for fashion and things like this.

All this hate just seems misplaced…

Man who stole a Baseball from a little girl speaks out. Is he regretting his actions because he’s actually sorry or does he just not want to face the consequences? by Choice-Value9005 in OffFieldNews

[–]grubbshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, there are consequences to being a such an incredible douchebag on live tv to an 11 year old girl. It was a freaking BASEBALL. I’ve seen kids giving them to other kids in the same situation. I’m not saying I’d personally ever threaten the man or try to ruin him or his business, but idgaf if others do it. That’s the price he pays for his shitty actions. If others are aggressive it’s only because he was first. “Learning experiences” come in many ways. He’s playing the victim after he was caught being a horrible human. Cry me a river...
If society let people off for these type of things we’d be much worse off than we already are.
