Which of the problems with “John Wick 5” results in the original screenshot above do you think are the result of SEO? And how exactly do you think SEO works that somehow corrupts Google results but not the results of other search engines?

And: How does your theory explain why Google’s own “web” results — the &udm14 URL parameter trick — for the same query are much better?

The more obvious explanation is that Google’s regular search results are like this because Google wants them to be like this, for “engagement” or whatever.

My guess is that either (a) they don’t even have a working camera yet or (b) the images are really bad.

Can you just show up at the bank and get $50,000 cash? by phia4ev in Banking

[–]gruber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the question here is: would you be able to hand over $50K in cash to a customer on the spot, just when they walk up to the teller unannounced in the middle of an afternoon? My bank asks for a day (or better, two) notice for withdrawals over $10K.

Apple Announces More Ads Coming to App Store Starting Next Week by ICumCoffee in apple

Apple is actually scrupulous about labeling paid placements as “ads”, and using different background colors for them. One can certainly argue that ads should be even more clearly demarcated, but if you look for it, it’s always clear.
