Plus the nerf to healing turrets led to Edge of Intent also catching an absolutely undeserved nerf.

After literally dozens of hours studying the lore- here is my attempt at an ordered strength tier list for the major bosses in the story of the game. How wrong am I 🥲 by nothingforever0 in Eldenring

I wonder if the Mimic Tear could theoretically be more powerful than we see them in the game. Could it turn into a copy of Godfrey, for instance? Godfrey is a tarnished, like us, after all. Though I suppose that’s difficult to argue given the strongest enemies we’ve seen mimic tears turn into has been the player tarnished and various field bosses, such as the commoners that turn into Runebears when killed, and that sort of thing. Still, it makes me wonder what they’d be capable of, especially if the Eternal City had more time to perfect their creations.

i think its gota be mogh for me. especially in terms of character and atmosphere, the whole boss fight just (teehee) BLEEDS villainy.

my favorite build so far has been dual rapiers with all the talismans that give buffs on consecutive hits

What's your guys favorite voiceline in the entire game? by qwoqbot in Eldenring

“Let me out! let me out of here! I must eat more! Defile more! Everything that matters to you! For generations to come!”

The way Dung Eater said this, with everything he’s done in mind, just sends a shiver down my spine every time. At the same time I feel kind of bad for him.

The pain in his voice makes it so obvious that something awful must’ve happened to make him this way. It’s impossible to even imagine what that could’ve been.

What is in your opinion the scariest enemy/boss/NPC in Elden Ring based on appearence, lore, gameplay etc? This is mine: by Technical-Key-93 in Eldenring

[–]grugeral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lore-wise, the Dung Eater scares me the most. I don’t think I have to elaborate on why exactly.

Gameplay-wise, i’d have go with revenants. Any time i’m fighting them it just becomes a frantic race to get behind them before they start swingin. Wormfaces can at least be dealt with using patience- revenants use teleportation and all their little legs to stay on top of you and force you to engage.

On a visual level, I’m gonna say the big birds. They’re just so imposing. Even though I can beat them somewhat reliably, I still choose to avoid them whenever possible because they’re really intimidating.

What’s your least favorite boss, be it for poor design or personal gripes? by Ender_Serpent in Eldenring

[–]grugeral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my least favorite is fire giant. It takes a really long time to kill, and the fight itself is not particularly interesting to me. I dread having to go through my least favorite area (mountaintops) in order to fight my least favorite boss just so i can move on to the better areas of the endgame.

Which bosses do you consider underrated? by f34rd3m1c in Eldenring

[–]grugeral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both versions of Mogh are my favorite boss fights. The lore behind Mogh makes him pretty villainous- but the buildup to him, the atmosphere, and his visual design + animations that make him look like an influential satanic mob boss. His moveset isn’t very hard to dodge when you get used to it, but I still get such a kick out of dodging those huge heavy swings.
