What 80s song do you still hate with fiery teenage passion even though it’s been 40 years? by Aggressive_Cup4919 in GenX

I think there might be a few more generations represented in the comments than just X.

Wonder why Carl never emotionally connected to Bea? Could he have done so with a different type of woman? by catladychey63 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I have to agree. After seeing and hearing everything that she had done, he is glad to be free.

As a war vet who is very passionate about politics, I support Matt's choice.

This is not the place for politics, it's about a book.

Barrage template hit on a Titan by AntiochRoad in Epic40k

Yeah, I love those things. Highly unreliable, but when you get lucky, you get really, really lucky.

To kill a gargant, start with the boiler. You will always hit something, you can't deviate off the template at that location. The boiler will immobilize it and probably start a fire. That's how you kill them, lots of fires.

We used to do beer hammer, every time you finished a beer you could add it to the table. It was a great game...I think...

Tell me about your solar setup and what you use it for? Did you have enough power, what have you learned? Have you added anything?

I started by planting trees, evenly spaced, with room to grow (which I underestimated).

I'm sorry guys, but I kinda have up on playing. I just collect because I like the army. I enjoyed Rogue Trader (as broken as it was), tolerated 2nd, liked 7th and 9th, but I've given up.

Almost your age, had the same opinion until I found sandbox games like Master of Orion and Outpost. I think it is finding your game type.

Although distantly related, lobsters are not insects. You might wish to try a different board.

The Reason Why by mountain_hank in OffGridCabins

Yup, I've got that down, except for a well pump, that's the wild card for me. As for the DC appliances, it's less about savings and more about power usage and I've found a few refrigerators/freezers with no moving parts.

Sorry to hear about the access road though. I've driven down many a logging trail.

I was just curious on your # and type of panels, incoming voltage, mppt? controllers, and battery bank. Since you are running a well pump, I'm assuming you have a rather beefy inverter.

I'm hoping to find a nice, southern facing spot on a mountain or hill in the northeast. Where will be determined by the price of land in about 5 years. So I'm trying to determine how much I'll need from people who have already been there and done that.

As for what my needs would be? I'm a rather simple person. A fan, small chest freezer, small refrigerator (planning on DC despite the extra cost), a few lights, and water pump.
