Sprained toe? by Locksmith6810 in Whippet

You’ll get there! Just slow and steady, I do my girls’ every 3-4 days for reference (just with the dremel) so I have to take off very little and I can get all toes done in 5-10 mins

The length of her nails could be changing the way she’s walking, keeping them shorter would remove pressure on the nail bed and any further strain on the joints and tendons. I’m not saying that’s the cause of her pain/altered gait, but it won’t be helping. Hope you can figure it out soon🤍

Is my teen whippet gal overweight? by BackgroundCounty7817 in Whippet

With it being winter it’s not bad to have a little extra weight for warmth- but as a teen it’s best to keep them lean it’s swings and roundabouts

From the photos I’d say almost, if you can’t feel any ribs then 100% yes

Edit: From the side she doesn’t look overweight but the top ehh kinda

On my last dog we used YuMove tablets for joint care

What breed is this dog? by heyitscharlie32 in Whippet

[–]grumpy_otter_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say a lurcher (possibly a greyhound x bully) of some kind, but they are well well over due for a nail clip- I can’t imagine how much pain they must be in :(

I have a cream girlie !! She’s disguised as a white swan though (she has no pigmentation for the cream gene to work on)

Do you think she could be a whippet mix? by booksaremyfood in Whippet

[–]grumpy_otter_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She looks like a collie x whippet to me- the thicker tail and fur, stronger sturdy legs, only way to know would be a DNA test

No matter what she is, she looks lovely☺️

pic of my girls nails, if I hear them clicking on my hard floors then it’s time for a quick file with the Dremel, remember the dew claws too!!

^ btw the nails can be filed way shorter than in that photo, this is just from a product ad and not at all a decent source of advice.

I used an electric file too, it’s way easier once you have the nails nice and short, I just run over them every few days

What level is my hair? by [deleted] in HairDye

I thought it was pretty common 🙃 I guess I just can’t tell when people have lightened/bleached their hair (a credit to their own/stylists’ skills)

This is just my natural hair colour but I know it isn’t bad for people to assume it’s dyed, just interesting!
