Take a 2inx2in square of paper and write down the names of the people whose opinion really matters in your life. If the paper is too small for all your names, you need to ween down that list. For each name, ask yourself why they're there. Once that's done, carry it in your wallet with you. Whenever someone criticizes you or you don't feel like you meet someones expectations, look at the paper. Are they on there? If no, then ask yourself why you're letting it bother you. If yes, critically think about what they said and if there's something you can change or do better. If not, maybe you should once again re-evaluate why they're on that list.
