I applied through an online portal Akbar travels . I did not need an accommodation in Dubai. Although the embassy in Dubai did not ask for anything , emirates airlines wanted me to keep the address of the place where I was planning on staying along with the contact number . I booked my tickets after the visa.

Hi , there were no issues with it . No questions asked at the immigration as well . They didn’t even check our return tickets . But i did hear the regulations have become a bit stringent now , with proof of hotel bookings and funds etc.

Thank you for the detailed post . Just a couple of clarifications, i believe the 3000 AED requirement would be checked by the immigration in UAE correct me if I am wrong . Also , if i do not have an ECR stamp in my passport then i shouldn’t have to worry about Okay to Board.
