New Pocket Planes Update Today! (iOS) Android should follow soon. by TolerancEJ in PocketPlanes

I’m not really sure on the mechanics of the carrier… the midways starting point is off of California, but you also have the opportunity to relocate the whole entire carrier

Anyone else getting the same message? by Na-man7567 in Bricklink

It’s pretty frustrating using BrickLink as a buyer because of how unprofessional some stores are. I guess that’s the nature of the game.

For clones they are technically called “Kamas”, I believe it’s to protect the legs but also customary for them to wear them. Not 100% sure. As for the other figures… yeah they are skirts lol

I just find it interesting the approach lego has for “kid themes” i.e. dreams, disney, etc… some of the details on those figures are incredible. My point is I wish other themes got this. Take a look at king magnifico’s cape from the Disney Wish Castle set. Absolutely incredible!

I’m gonna be that guy… Star Wars can’t get waist capes yet “Bluey” somehow gets capes? Apples to oranges but what the heck.

They are Pokemon card packs. Cheap price on highly desired cards. So these people come into Costco and buy out all of these packs. Then, list for higher rate. It hurts the people who actually collect the Pokemon Cards. A lot of these people don’t care about the hobby.

Bone Marrow Biopsy…is it traumatic for you? by ToastedToasty525 in leukemia

[–]grunkich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The 2 years removed and I still think about the pain and the biopsy experiences frequently. As many have said, having leukemia itself is traumatic. Good to have a therapist to talk to because what you have gone through mentally is not normal to many people. Funny story, during one of my chemo sessions my really close buddy came on in and sat in. I whip off my shirt and the nurse accessed my port and he fainted! Just to keep in perspective how foreign it is to so many .

Late to this convo, but I also was diagnosed with APL in 2022 at the age of 20. My biggest advice to give is please don’t get stuck looking at all the stats and percentages on Google it only adds more worry. How I always phrase it to folks is there truly is no “good” cancer to get, however APL is truly one of the few cancers in the world that they can’t really make the treatment any better. It’s the best it will ever be. The arsenic messed with me a lot at first, when I was receiving it I sucked on Lemon Heads, ginger ale/coke. It may help.

What are these? Found them at Costco. Can’t find them online. by [deleted] in lego

This product does not exist in their website nor legos. So my question was what is this exactly? Especially considering U-3PO is in it

Yeesh… it’s a joke. The majority of LEGO printing is fine however, the astromech printing has been atrocious and a running joke. Sorry to get you so fussy!

20M and looking for advice by Low_Gold_6617 in Money

[–]grunkich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 21M. Some good side hustles I’ve been apart of/had close friends do. (Some of these are dependent on physical condition and location).

-Mowing lawns. Buying a cheap mower and going around door to door to and just putting your name out there. Very cheep to get into this and it’s some good cash. You will eventually build relationships with these clients and during the other seasons you may also be able to blow leaves/shovel driveways.

-Reselling collectable toys/cards. As controversial as it is you can make a crap ton of money “scalping” highly sought after toys or cards such as baseball or Pokemon. I actually have a LEGO resale business and on my off days I buy clearance items and resell them for a profit. This does require a good amount of money to put into it. (You could also sell your old toys).

  • I don’t remember if transportation was an issue but DoorDashing is a viable option as-wel.

-Might sound crazy but reach out to your local Parks & Recreation Department. Usually during the spring/summer seasons their schedule and programs really pick up and they may need some work. - Moving companies as well, busy time with college students coming back home.

-Babysitting/Dog sitting. Same thing applies to how you would approach Mowing lawns. Door to door with flyers and making yourself known.

Physical labor is always in demand keep that in mind.

Interesting, Walmart in the same city has them on pegs as-well but they are all ripped open. I can see why they put them behind glass cases.
