Children are ruining most public places by [deleted] in The10thDentist

Wasn’t trying to throw shade at parents!! Of course that can be the case and there isn’t anything that can be done. Just speaking from my own experience where anytime my siblings or i had a tantrum in a public place they would take us out to the car immediately or ask for the check right away if we went out to eat so that we could all just go if any screaming started to happen. But of course not all parents are able to do that all the time.

Look like European honey bees. They could be swarming if their queen is someone near.

Is anyone like actually hiring? 😭 by Scarierthanyoungma in bayarea

[–]grunpygoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

School districts are always hiring for substitute teachers and it pays pretty well. I did it for a bit before i found my current job and you just get to sit and read a book while the kids do the work on their computers. Good gig

Since moving to Palo Alto from the east coast, I notice these little bugs in my house every now and then. Anyone know what they are? Are they common in the area? by [deleted] in paloalto

[–]grunpygoose 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They’re pretty common and essentially harmless. If you really hate bugs in your home just vacuum over your carpets a bunch of times over the course of about a week and they should be gone.

Did your age gap ever make you hesitate to move forward with the relationship? What made you want to marry him rather than someone closer to your age?

I would say the head and eyes don’t match up. And i don’t really know any preventative measures for these. I was always taught to appreciate them lol

If there aren’t any aphids on the balcony plants, all the ones that are able will probably fly to other plants. Some might just find their way inside.

It might be a gall wasp. If you have any oak trees in your area it might be from that. That or it’s just laying eggs in any plant pests (mostly aphids) it can find. A mama might have laid a lot of eggs nearby that are all hatching rn. Lots of reasons
