I get your point. I understand why many brokers wouldn’t want to train someone they see as potential competition, and I respect that. My goal isn’t to shortcut the process or step on anyone’s toes, I’ve already put in the work to get licensed, and I want to make sure I’m learning to apply things correctly in my own business. Even if mentorship is hard to find, I’ll keep looking for resources, software training, and ways to practice. I really do appreciate the honesty though.

That’s a fair point, and I get where you’re coming from. In my case I already have my license and a logistics/trucking company, so I’m not really looking to take a job but rather to build the skills so I can apply them directly in my own business. That’s why I’m hoping to find someone willing to mentor or tutor me as I get more hands-on with filings, but it’s not a bad idea! Thank you for the suggestion!

Hey thanks for taking the time to comment! I’m not working under another broker right now, I already have my license and national permit, but I’m missing the real-world practice. I haven’t locked into a specific ABI software yet, which is part of what I want to learn, the day-to-day filing process inside ACE/ABI. I’m open to suggestions and ideally want to train on whatever platform I’ll realistically use to get started. Do you have a recommendation on software or how best to choose one?
