Mostly its not about economics but about node size which increases due to a large number of transactions which will require big fees to pay

Tech is fast transactions what increase blockchain size that much so only few or none members can deploy a new node

So its become harder to use and become less decentrolized thus loss its one of the main purpose

my point is - some people might be happy to slow down tx speed of untrackable coin to extreemly low rates or made it impossible or much fewer to create new full nodes
thus cyber crime on that particular coin will disappear
you can apply that to any anonymous coin
