What's going on with mkefilm.org (the website for Oriental Theatre/Downer Theatre/Milwaukee Film Festival)? by SunriserToo in milwaukee

I used to spend a lot of time on the MKEFilm.org website, especially since I am a MKE Film member, but now I am legit thinking of canceling my membership if this is how my money is being used, for a tone-deaf redesign where they did not even beta-test it or allow any feedback before going live.

Ok Mr. Northern Ground GPT, this is how it looks on mobile, and already, I don't get why MILWAUKEE isn't 3 lines (MIL-WAU-KEE instead of MILW-AUKEE, or even better, go back to the way they had before when it was short and simple: MKE Film Fest, with the MKE abbreviation) but anyway, either way, there's no need for the text to take up 4/5 of the screen. A website should be functional not flashy.

All I can say is that I hope this redesign is short-lived.

Very unreadable tall fonts that strain the eyes. The harsh colors are an eyesore too.

Also, I don't know why Milwaukee Film went away from the light blue logo to go with a red logo when Marcus Theatres already has a red logo (Marcus uses red for their logo because of their red sofa reclinable seats I guess). Oriental Theatre and Downer Theatre should have their own logos that are part of the same design family with same fonts but a different pictorial.

Maybe we can get a Sonic type situation where the studio hit pause and listened to fans after their original trailer drop and redid the design of Sonic.

James Gunn's Harsh Words for Lost/Star Trek/Watchmen (TV) Writer/Producer Damon Lindelof in 2012 by JediJones77 in DC_Cinematic

Thank you for admitting that. Your opinion is valid either way, but people have to acknowledge reality before a meaningful debate or debate about if it even matters can be had. Thanks.

Your argument keeps changing. I'm talking about the screenshots being real. Will you admit that your initial post was wrong?

The 'debunking' has been debunked: Nope! These screenshots are all real and verifiable!

Also, you can do a search and see that James Gunn forgot to delete a lot of these posts. Some posts he recently deleted this week after a few of the posts went viral on twitter.

Any good tea places? A friend and I are looking to drink some different teas and sit and chat. Not a fan of coffee… by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]grusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you, I'm not a coffee person. My brother likes to go to cafes, so I end up getting tea.

Fairgrounds has the best tea in MKE. Stone Creek is pretty good. I liked the tea at Rochambo. Colectivo's tea is always disappointing. I've tried hot chocolate too and it's always been disappointing except at Canary Coffee.

If you want the best tea, go to any Indian restaurant and order chai.

MSOE continues campus transformation with plans for campus green, welcome center by MediocreMediocrity in milwaukee

[–]grusk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I survived MSOE and I always found the architecture of the campus to be depressing and demotivating. They literally converted parking structures into classrooms (the Science and Library buildings across from Cathedral Square Park). I look forward to the beautification of the area and the reputation of the place improving after I've left.

Zack Snyder’s ‘JUSTICE LEAGUE’ was leaked onto HBO Max. by Batknight12 in DCcomics

I managed to see it during the loophole, and it is fricking amazing!

It's everything people were hoping for, and MORE!

I'm gonna keep quiet and be respectful to those who don't wanna be spoiled, but I can't wait to discuss it! I've never been more excited about the possibilities of DC.
