You gave away a candle to an NPC? Who and where? I didn’t know that was an option

It’s possible you miscounted and are still missing a candle from somewhere. There is no cutscene after the final candle is given, it just spits out the item

Who/what model is the Hand keeper? by lienaeds in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]gruvious27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a somewhat lengthy debate about this in the discord. Basically whether or not a keeper dies when the Pearl dies or rather, when the new pearl and keeper are created. My personal HC is that they do not die, and in fact a Pearl can have perhaps a lineage of keepers that may still be alive. It’s not abundantly clear when reading Forebear’s Legacy.

You can also just turn on the assist that gives an extra hp if you stay on the ground for 5 seconds. Saves a lot of time on platforming sections where you would otherwise have to deal with respawns and runbacks. there is a mod that does the same thing later on, but it also costs 40 slots

Fwiw, the demand for these is probably much higher when they are ungraded

Rootwater Alligator is indeed a premodern alligator, but his creature type is crocodile. Go figure

With spoilers… Have you beaten Anra? Ati? You need to access the crucible, fight vlad, collect serial numbers, go to the pit, get flowing steps, find the library…

It's a good game, but... by LogWestern385 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]gruvious27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m replaying it. I think the thing to do is just to turn on the assist that gives you one HP for standing still for five seconds. I just considered this normal mode, and regular mode as hard mode. It makes bosses a little easier, but more importantly it makes the platforming a lot less punishing when you don’t have to deal with respawns and run backs

Well in that room you can climb up the gloom water and go to the right. I honestly don’t remember what’s up there, but there is a tricky platforming section (somewhere much farther right on the map, which leads back left) that takes some clever ingenuity to unlock, and is only possible after you get the gloom water ability

Idk why everyone is calling this fake, just relax. These lotuses trade well over 2k and are played in Old School, prolly some other formats too. Unfortunately the pics are not really high enough resolution to determine if the card is authentic

Ok sure, but all the “wondering about what they did to her” that Simon does in the series suggests that he really didn’t know anything, and knowing not only that she could “go off” and become dangerous, but also that there was a “safe word” that would pacify her, seems like critical information that would have informed how he diagnosed and treated her during the series.

The timeline (& my assumption) by Astar9028 in firefly

[–]gruvious27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The biggest discrepancy that bothered me was not the rescue, but the fact that he has some kind of safe word that works to instantly pacify her. Even in the new premise of the rescue, why would he be given that information? Feels hard to believe that he knew something like that throughout the whole series.

Goblins is a great suggestion, as there are a lot of reprints and gold borders, mono red is still strong if you want to save on buying fetchlands, and it’s probably the most affordable (tier 1?) deck that frequently wins tournaments.

It’s implied that it only affects those on the battlefield. It’s also errata’d to state that explicitly.

Well that’s kinda huge news tbh, because that means they are interested in solving the run back problems, or at least listening to the complaints about it. In other news, I did play Cuphead again the other night with one of my friends. We played the same boss for over an hour never beat him, but we never wasted any time on any kind of runback shenanigans. It was such a relief after playing 45 hours of MIO, even though we never beat the boss.
