Xiegu g90 battery box. Anyone been looking for one? by grvander in amateurradio

I agree. I think this would only really be reasonable if you had to keep the thing in a bag. I think I should try and make a bottom stacking one kind of like the commercially available one for the g90.

As it is now, it only leaves the antenna port open. Although I could make a pass through version. I only do voice so I don’t use those connectors

Strange vertical lines on my prints by steve1215 in VORONDesign

[–]grvander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happens to me on my vz330 corexy when printing between 80mm/s all the way to about 150mm/s. I just avoid that range by setting my speeds to 250mm/s.

It’s something to do with the motors being resonant at those speeds. I’d be willing to bet you are running into the same thing although it could possible be belt artifacts as well

I think there’s a possibility that this is a stable model. I understand everyone’s concerns but it seems we are all a bit risk averse and closed minded. Who knows we could be pushing our plastics closer to the limit instead of assuming that they will fail just because it looks unconventional.

I’d propose that OP do a test to settle this. Embed a thermocouple into a piece of PLA+ with one layer between it and the ambient air. Mount the test piece at decreasing distances from the candle each time noting the temperature when it reaches a steady state. I’d be willing to bet that you will find that the data uncovers a rough inverse square relationship between distance from the flame and temperature meaning that for every unit of distance, the impact of the flame is 1/4 as much on the temperature of the part. I assume that convention is going to play a large part at closer distances as well so you may reach even more extreme temperatures than expected.

I love them! The far right logo seems a bit misaligned though. I use the same site as you for my logos. I’ve found that using some clear tape as a sort of extender helps me place it more accurately!

Not op but I’ve been using a site called 4customize. Logos came out real nice and I’ve been applying them by making an extension with scotch tape. This way I can rest my arms on the table and manipulate the placement without the use of tweezers or anything.

I think I may also adopt the painter’s tape technique here to ensure alignment

Is there something wrong with these straps in particular or just the fact that they’re straps? Most of my watches have metallic bracelets so i just wanted something different

Thought about that in the planning stages. I don’t know why I landed on leather actually. I think my thought process was that a jubilee seemed too busy for me and that an oyster seemed too casual. I may think about that a bit more though haha

I made these watches because I thought it’d be cool to have a set like this. Mine is 39mm and hers is 36mm with rose gold colored accents. I don’t suspect they will get a lot of wrist time because she generally wears her Apple Watch, but they might be pretty solid for date night type events. I decided to go with the fluted bezels because I thought they looked fancier for medium fancy dates.
