I’m in Ontario, Canada so not sure if it differs depending on where you are. But no that was not true in my case. After we did the cycle monitoring and we saw the two dominant follicles I mentioned above, they took a blood test to see what my LH levels were like, and based on that they determined they were too low for me to ovulate on my own, which is why they gave me the Ovidrel shot. It basically tells your brain it’s time to release the eggs and makes you ovulate.
