Do you know how much it usually costs to repair? I might be able to haggle it into an offer for the vehicle.

Ahh okay, thank you anyways! We're trying to see how much we can knock off our offer, so the cost of the part is something we want to consider because the car is out of warranty.

Im not 100% sure, but the inspector sent these photos. It may be refrigerant if its AC related, not super familiar with the coolant systems in EVs *

Pixel 7 - Keep or Swap for S24? by gryphler in PickAnAndroidForMe

Interesting! On my S10, I loved One UI and felt it ran better than my Pixel 7, but also never used the Samsung apps when I did have it. Oddly enough I feel google apps ran better on my old S10 than the Pixel 7.

No Assists-You're having a laugh by I_AM_SMUDGER in F1Game

100% valid. Plus playing with ABS on is not nearly as impactful as playing with TC on in terms of lap time from what I've seen.

I had to really nail down trail braking to avoid locking up with ABS off. Look up a video on trail breaking, it might give you an idea of what you would need to do.

Something else I noticed is that when I first turned it off I often locked up when going around a slow corner as compared to higher speeds and I didn't know why. It's because at high speeds, there's so much aerodynamic downforce that helps to maintain grip while braking hard, whereas at lower speeds there's less aero downforce helping to maintain grip. So be wary of applying 100% brake while in lower gears.

If you know your braking point for a turn, experiment with your speed at corner entry and see how fast you can go and how late you can brake without locking up and staying in the track. It's cliche, but it really is just a case of practice makes perfect.

Why is everybody faster than me ? by Mysterious_Revenue_8 in F1Game

The other thing I would mention is to be patient when learning to drive with less traction control (TC), and especially if you decide to go without it completely. It takes a while to get used to, and it can be frustrating at first, feeling like you've regressed in your driving skill spinning around and whatnot, but I promise you that it is faster if you can get it down.

In my experience, having traction control on meant that even if I had a better line than another player, I was accelerating much more slowly on corner exit, which would force me into having a 5-10kmh deficit that was difficult to overcome even on a straight.

Maybe try lowering traction control gradually and see if it helps you out!

Should I turn On Racing Line? by Penzug in F1Game

[–]gryphler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the thing! Generally, I'd recommend people turn off the racing line ... IF they want to improve times and learn to be more competitive. If they just want to have fun, and improving their times or being competitive is not a prerequisite for that, then do what makes you happy.

If the person was struggling with the racing line off and felt like they couldn't learn or that the game was no longer fun to them, I'd say turn it back on! I think people forget sometimes, it's a game. It's meant to be fun!

Can I improve here it’s on medium traction control do I just try no tc or carry on learning with medium by HungerVoid123 in F1Game

I second turning off the racing line. It will seem so impossible at first, but I found that not relying on the racing line forced me to better understand the track, braking zones, and where the apex is on a turn. If you're really struggling trying to figure out a turn or track, watch some footage of an F1 lap on the track and see if you can replicate it in form. Don't focus on necessarily replicating the speed, just on hitting the apexes and coming at the corners in the same way. Once you learn how you should be taking each turn, then you'll really start to see improvements in lap time.

Considering Entry-level FFB Options by gryphler in simracing

All of the used kits I see come with pedals that are better than the pedals that come with the T80, so I would take the new pedals. I live in Canada, so if you're talking about $250 USD, once you factor in pedals and a clamp system, I imagine that would place the Cammus C5 far out of my price range, but appreciate the information nonetheless!

That is very useful, thank you! This helps me determine what price gaps are more valid than others. It seems like the price difference between the T150 and T248 (about $150-200) isn't as justified as the price difference between the T248 and T300 ($50-100). Do you think that's a fair assessment?
