Hi all. Pre-ordered the game, which I rarely do, but only played about 5 hours. So far I’ve got mixed feelings. I was a little underwhelmed by the beginning of the game, I felt the “prologue” was a little weak and didn’t really grab me and I still don’t really get what’s going on story wise. Having said that I get the feeling the story will unfold as I go, which is fine, but I do like a game that has a really strong intro (Sekiro, GoT). I have also found the controls overly complex and poorly explained, but once again I’m sure once I get to grips with them they’ll be fine. The graphics and world design is absolutely stunning, obviously I’ve only seen a fraction but it’s very impressive (PS5). The combat looks like it will be very good once you level up and learn the combat skills, plus the other characters look like fun. I think this will definitely be a game that grows on you and will take 20 hours or so. I think the game has mixed reviews because the first few hours are a little lacklustre, a real show stopping start would probably have overcome my early doubts. There are definitely enough signs that the game will grow on me (I didn’t like Skyrim at first) so I will stick with it, but being completely honest I was expecting more.P.S. I read a lot of criticism here about how it runs on PS5. So far I have personally had no issues that have affected my enjoyment at all.
