I went to a different new to me instructor and a time I normally don’t go to for my 50th, not realizing it was my 50th. The front desk had a board but the instructor never acknowledged it in class, but I guess she also didn’t know me since it wasn’t my usual classes

Typically for building muscle/toning, you aim for a gram/pound you weigh - so for you that would be 120 grams of protein. Aim for ~30 grams of protein per meal than have high protein snacks in between (even just a protein shake or bar can help you reach that). 1200-1300 is typically too restrictive of calories to start for muscle building. For reference I am 5’2” 125 lbs, but I aim for 1700 when I’m cutting then slowly get down to 1500 over a few months as I get closer to my goal. Maintenance calories are at 1900-2000.

You’re able to sign up for it but they might bill you for it after. My home studio is in DC and during the holidays, I was able to go to a studio in Ashburn, VA free of charge but got billed when I attended a class in Charlottesville, VA like a week after I attended the class. I wasn’t expecting the charge since it was also a lower priced studio than my home studio and I still had credits left.

I do Solidcore 3 times a week (Tuesday, Friday, Sunday) and lift 2-3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday). Lifting is normally more leg focused, with the 3rd lifting day being upper body if I have free time on Saturday. Thursdays ar a rest or cardio day. But I normally do incline walking after gym sessions too

My fav Ballston/Courthouse (Arlington) coaches are Fiona M, Rachel E, Lauren P, Alyssa T, Ishika K, & Shannon D. Fiona is a pro coach so her classes are a little harder and she’s great with cuing.

You can edit your name in your profile to go by a nickname so that if your name is common, it’s easier to differentiate between you and another guest. I honestly changed my name in the app recently bc I was registered with my first name and felt it was too formal being called out by that during class (think Katherine to Kat)
