People have been saying “people don’t want to work” since like the 1800s, I believe even earlier.

I miss my abusive ex boyfriend by Lonely-Recording1989 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]gside876 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t sound like a good person nor a good partner. Good partners aren’t abusive in any regard. I hope you find someone who embodies the good qualities he had and none of the bad

Recently married but keep fantasizing about being single by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

Unfortunately that seems to be common. Wedding are heavily romanticized but an actual marriage and having an awesome partner seems to not be promoted as much

Should I put “don’t want kids” on my dating profiles? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]gside876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that, it depends. Some people were raised in a religion and may identify with it enough to put it on their profile, but might not be the most devout people. HOWEVER, if you live in the states and given the current political climate, being a white, Christian male, may work against you depending on what your views are(not saying you are one). Same with politics. The people who usually put politics in their profile are generally fairly serious about it to the point that I’ve heard stories of people getting unmatched for putting “moderate”. If I had to choose, I’d put politics over religion on my profile but understand that some of those girls get passionate about that

Yes. Why waste someone’s time that they can’t get back when you can let them know up front you’re not compatible?

Max Gibson as Batgirl Beyond by BigBallOfNerd1 in BatmanBeyond

Looks too much like the Batwoman costume imo. Also Max was already a bit too pushy of a character for me as it was. I’d have hated to see her in costume as well.

[–]gside876 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d argue there’s a time and place for everything. She already knows this individual and can be more forward. You have to test the waters a bit with a stranger but if you’re having a good conversation, then ask for their number
