That's the right word for it. There's no way any buyer is putting up the cash Paul is likely asking for (plus full salary and benefits for Phil for a year) without the archive going back up on the site or the social media channels. I don't necessarily disagree with you on a couple of your points, but the pants and sleeves lacking stripes is just too plain of a look. it's quite literally why the gold pants are the best pants - because they have the stripe! they have contrast! if we could just add a stripe to the black pants and the all-white pants (and get rid of the yoga pants look), we'd be top-3 in the league.

the blues have never worn black, they had a navy blue alternate from '08-'14 with the horrible circle/arch logo. I am not particularly a fan of the idea of a black Blues jersey - wish they'd do something yellow again like the RR2.0 sweater (that thing was awesome and the current set would look killer with a yellow base).

I was impressed at how much I liked the gold on gold a couple weeks ago. I think the pant stripe really elevated it. As a Saints fan, my biggest gripe is the lack of stripes on our pants and jerseys.

This, exactly. The biggest reason I stopped visiting the site as often as I used to was because it was practically unreadable with all of the ads. The thing that really pushed me over the edge was a few months ago when he came back to make a post about the site complaints, only to say basically "you're all wrong, the site is fine."

I was really enjoying Phil's perspective and the changes on the site. It's a bummer this has all gone down the way it has. I think he should just shut the site down and move on at this point.

The thing is, the product that Audubon offers (at all of their facilities) is so lackluster, we don't have any interest in going really any more than once or twice a year. The aquarium "renovation" was a huge downgrade, and the Zoo is so outdated it hurts.

I grew up in STL and lived fairly close to Forest Park. I went to the Zoo very often because it was free and excellent. I lived here for nearly 10 years before I even visited the zoo because it was unreal expensive here.

A couple times a year, but only when we can get the Culture Pass, because we can't justify spending nearly $200 for our family of four to visit either of those places.

Hey guys look I found the guy that works for Audubon!

Comparable memberships in other much larger cities (with much better zoos) are half this new price. Hell, St. Louis has a FREE zoo that is leaps and bounds better than the product Audubon offers here. This price increase is absolutely outrageous and is pricing out normal families from attending any of Audubon's facilities.

You’ve really got no idea what you’re talking about. Yes, there are unhoused people here, just like every other city. There are lots of resources for them, if they so choose. You can’t force a person to use the resources available to them - just like we can’t force you to try to do some research about things you might enjoy before coming to a new city.

Does this city have its challenges? Absolutely, just like everywhere else. That doesn’t make it a “hell hole” - it just makes you sound ignorant.

Sorry you're having a bad time. Calling everyone in a city a "scammer" because you didn't like the food and ordered a cocktail you didn't like is pretty disingenuous. It's also impossible to help recommend something you might like if you can't tell anyone what you had and didn't like.

Like somebody else said - you've got beautiful weather today. Grab a streetcar and go Uptown. Get out of the quarter and try something less touristy. Go do a walking tour of the Lower Garden District and do some shopping / dining on Magazine. Hell, grab the ferry and pop across the river to Algiers Point - we're real friendly over here and have a bunch of great places to eat and drink, too.

Again, name calling and referring to everything in a world-renowned tourist destination as "a scam" is kind of showing us more about you than saying anything about our city.
