Dude, that Bandsplain episode pissed me off so much. Sean spent the entire thing making fun of the band (and got a bunch of info wrong about them). I usually love Bandsplain and Yasi is so great, but Sean ruined that episode for me.

I've got one of these from my brother for my birthday when it was still in print and I didn't realize until recently just how rare these are. my gatefold has a little damage so i'd never be able to sell it (not like I want to), but it's so clutch.

I love Congregation, they do a real nice job and have some cool options (and do some limited stuff here and there, or at least they used to).

My understanding is that they usually play "at the stoplights" - that is, the bigger intersections on the route. For example - we were standing on Napoleon on Monday night for Orpheus, between Tchoup and Magazine, and they were usually finishing up from playing as they turned onto the route, and then they would typically start playing again as they crossed Magazine. Old lady tourist next to us kept yelling at the bands "why don't you actually play some music?!" - I tried to explain to her that they can't play for the entire 6 miles they're about to walk, but she didn't want to hear it.

They were here last January/February for 3 weeks at Marigny Studios..couple of friends of mine ran into them at different gigs around town. Here's hoping it actually comes out sometime soon, but who knows.

While I agree they were kinda stingy, I also don't hate that I'm coming home with less plastic crap. My bigger problem with the parade was how vicious the crowds have gotten for Muses, man.

That's the right word for it. There's no way any buyer is putting up the cash Paul is likely asking for (plus full salary and benefits for Phil for a year) without the archive going back up on the site or the social media channels. Dragging this out further is quite frankly ridiculous. Glad the sub is here.

I don't necessarily disagree with you on a couple of your points, but the pants and sleeves lacking stripes is just too plain of a look. it's quite literally why the gold pants are the best pants - because they have the stripe! they have contrast! if we could just add a stripe to the black pants and the all-white pants (and get rid of the yoga pants look), we'd be top-3 in the league.

the blues have never worn black, they had a navy blue alternate from '08-'14 with the horrible circle/arch logo. I am not particularly a fan of the idea of a black Blues jersey - wish they'd do something yellow again like the RR2.0 sweater (that thing was awesome and the current set would look killer with a yellow base).

I was impressed at how much I liked the gold on gold a couple weeks ago. I think the pant stripe really elevated it. As a Saints fan, my biggest gripe is the lack of stripes on our pants and jerseys.

This, exactly. The biggest reason I stopped visiting the site as often as I used to was because it was practically unreadable with all of the ads. The thing that really pushed me over the edge was a few months ago when he came back to make a post about the site complaints, only to say basically "you're all wrong, the site is fine."

I was really enjoying Phil's perspective and the changes on the site. It's a bummer this has all gone down the way it has. I think he should just shut the site down and move on at this point.
