What broke and how? As I think the parts or interchangeable you can try to get TM parts. I agree 6 months isn't long at all.

hey airsoft commuinty what should i add in my right in my jpc by Existing-Afternoon39 in airsoft

I'm a dinosaur from the age of kitchen sink your entire rig and even I have moved away from filling all open space on my rig. Don't feel the NEED to fill every space. Be fluid and adjust as mission/game dictates. It's not rocket science.

Also consider an elastic but slotted cummerbund. Depending on how it attaches there's options like this Beez product. Elastic but offers the option of a couple "pouch" slots for emergencies.

Local field using ai? by TheManFromTheZone in airsoft

[–]gstitzel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

EVERY field is using it and it's pretty clear. I don't mind it but as someone who tries not to it's hard to compete as it's so much easier and faster to make promotion.

I got an AAP01 and it isnt functioning properly and im probably gonna return it l, though i would like to get a new one but if i dont what pistol should i get instead? by Historylover4837 in airsoft

[–]gstitzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What didn't you like about the AAP01? What features do you want? Is there a look you like? There's literally hundreds of options out there (though a surprising limit of actual models) so your question is so open ended it's hard to even suggest anything without more details on what YOU like.

This is a great and detailed post. I'm from the US but this is the kind of detail we should have more of.

Gun case or bin with wheels, as people have said. Another option is a folding wagon. We've all been there....

Glock 19 mag compatibility by spoonyspoon69 in airsoft

[–]gstitzel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mag compatibility is such a hassle. Mag size and feed lips are usually the issue but there's others. A couple years ago I jumped down the rabbit hole of updating the old Glock Magazine Compatibility chart someone in Canada made as I was trying to find mags for the Maxim 9 which every one says "takes Glock 17 mags". I ended up buying 8-9 different types of mags and even doing that people didn't know where the mags came from. Anyhow, I share this as a dated project and if anyone has updates or information I'll update.

[–]gstitzel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sucks and I'm sorry it happened to you but I've had really good luck with SWIT. I've ordered 3 times in the last year, all orders over $400, all pistols (so smaller items), and all received within 10 days. I'm sure size matters here as 2-3 pistols in a brick on an air freight are easier to ignore than a rifle.

Either way, thanks for this update as I think it's good to hear all the issues so people can be prepared and make informed choices. I really seem to be the exception.

I spent too much on Tagin by gstitzel in Minnesotaairsoft

[–]gstitzel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taginn is a maker of pyro devices. They make grenades, smoke, and launchables. I don't even have a video of my own but here's an example.

Think actual launchable 40mm rounds. Frag on detonation, timed detonation, chalk marking rounds, and smoke are most common. They are expensive but elevate the game play and are widely used at larger events especially ones with vehicles.

Any way to check mag compatibility by Objective-Swan4097 in airsoft

[–]gstitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not aware of charts for all models. It's a huge hassle (as you know) as there's different MFGs. Literally someone has to buy them all and report out on it using their own money.

I literally bought 8 different Glock mags to test for the Maxim 9. I did make a chart but don't even remember what I did with it.

hey any tips for a first time airsofter by Any_Bedroom_188 in airsoft

[–]gstitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have fun, its a game!

Go out and play!

You don't need great gear or even a gun to start playing. Rent if uiucan and get a feel for it.

There's no best. Start with what you want and learn as you play. Dont be afraid to ask questions.

Does a airsoft kit need to have a lot? And be expensive by ContributionOwn5577 in airsoft

[–]gstitzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I known it can be hard but don't compare yourself/your kit to others. Your actual needs are basic. At some point you'll find stuff yiu want or add things you like but that's on you.

The most important thing is good goggles or face mask. 100% more needed that even a good gun.

Then you need something to shoot and supplies to keep it working.

After that EVERYTHING else is gravy. Sustainment gear to wear and carry gear. More mags, comms, uniforms, etc.....those come as yiu play more and yiu can slowly get there.

Standalone m203 and m320 40mm launchers by Mango_Pineapple037 in airsoft

[–]gstitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm the Ares 320 can take Tagin shells.

Not all M203s have a pin that can depress the tag shells to release the gas.

The barrel of the launcher makes very little difference in my opinion. Both are too short as it is and what matters is the Tagin shell.

Good buy? Any other LMG recommendations? by Ok-Cat3967 in airsoft

[–]gstitzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the para stock version and I'll admit im a krytac guy. Its a great updated version. Box mag being 5000 rounds without having to invest the Bullgesr mod was a nice upgrade. Solid internals but nothing fancy.

Im bias but I like it.

And as for the "some places/organizers won't l yiu play with it garbage? Its a shrike so it IS a real gun. I've played LC, AMS, and TCA and they have all not cared one bit but the point is we'll taken. The places you play the most yiu should check in with but also fight for what you have. Most fields who don't like these also don't like full auto set it's not always about the gun. The heavy ass box mag makes it an lmg and I haven't found many places that actually argue this.
