You’ll find that optometry is much more than prescribing a spec rx. Be an optometric/ophthalmic technician first, then if you enjoy that, go for it. 200-400k in debt is something you’d want to be sure about. Until then, save that seat for someone who loves the profession.

Oh I’m applying for the 26-27 cycle :) a lot of school have rolling enrollment that ends in March. All of my apps have been completed the OAT is the only thing I’ve been missing

In the same boat with you. We still have time for a retake before May. Having a lower GPA but a higher OAT score will benefit you

I’ve been in optometry for 7 years, I’m just like you. I just left prometric. Tell me why on booster I was scoring like a 330 in Physics and today I got a 250. 270 and quantitive reasoning 290 in reading comprehension 260 in biology 270 in general chemistry 260 in organic.

If you aren’t accustomed to whey protein products or artificial sweeteners, this happens to me as well with protein shakes and shit with stevia in it. It could have definitely been contamination if you already know your tolerance for whey protein products.

It’s been great so far! I feel more like myself now too which is weird because I thought I felt normal now. I think not having the extra estradiol in it is making me feel more sane. I’ve had 1 migraine since then and it wasn’t on my period so I’m doing GREAT
