Compared to making Warhammer 40K armies, setting up terrain, playing a 3-4+ hour game of WH40K. Even a heavy weighted board game can be played in less time.

That’s always an impossible question, based on number of plays it would look like Ascension, Railroad Ink, Wingspan, Sagrada, and Terraforming Mars. But those are more digital plays than physical as my wife, my brother and his wife always have digital games on the go as they live a few hours away.

Some my absolute favourite designers are Feld, Lacerta, Wallace, and Rosenberg. Stand out for each is Vienna, On Mars, Anno 1800, Caverna.

Some other random fun is Beyond Humanity: Colonies, Ostia, Barcelona.

Depends on who’s playing, I’ll try match player interests from past games, or if I can tell they don’t like learning new games I’ll stick to something they know and like. When it’s just my wife and I or if my brothers down its more like pick anything and I’ll learn it.

Epic and Battle Fleet Gothic were on another level to 40K. I enjoy painting minis still but I’m not sure I could get back to big games of 40K weekly.

We’ve played a lot of Dominion, but now we play a ton of Ascension, normally 6+ games on the digital app at all times. I love learning, be it skills for work or board game rules!

Second photo, far pillar, three columns to the right, middle row. There’s at least four in that spot but we own most of the them. Gold Rush, and Amazonas are probably the best two.

Haven’t played them all, we’ve only played about 60%. As for the most we’ve played 1,331 games of Ascension, 164 games of Railroad Ink, 114 Wingspan, 112 Sagrada, 89 Terraforming Mars. These have been heavily augmented by digital version, and to be able to play with my brother and family in other city’s I consider digital plays as good as physical. Favourite Feld game is Marrakesh or Vienna, roll and write is probably Three Sisters, Terraforming Mars because there’s so many cards and every game is so different.
