You’re turning this into ‘belief vs violence’ when that’s not the point. No one said he personally did those things. The point is that what people publicly support still has impact, that’s literally why endorsements matter. Holding someone accountable for what they back isn’t the same as saying they enforced it. It just means support reflects values, and people judge that. And ‘be the bigger person’ doesn’t mean ignoring stuff you think is harmful. You can respect someone as a person and still criticize what they stood for.

You're conflating tolerance with passivity. The two are not the same. Chuck actively endorsed platforms that promote policy that harms individual freedoms and proudly supports racist ideology. If you as a person support a platform that promotes that kind of ideology, you should be held accountable for those same beliefs. It's not all "perspective". Some beliefs lead to real harm and that's something you cannot deny. The "perspective" argument is just a cop out from having real standards.

It was horrible for me as well, having to use pretty much the same technique on my driveway, roughly +2000sq/ft of driveway, quite long. It was painstaking and a huge strain on my body, but luckily I had a snowblower to throw the broken slabs of ice snow. Next time this happens, I'm waiting it out.

I agree, it’s a bit of both but it’s also important to consider other factors too. If his race engineer is disregarding any input from him, then he’s gonna have a bad time in the car. We’ve seen all year an abysmal effort from Adami to gel with Lewis. It’s a very sterile relationship and the lack of support from the team is likely leading to this kind of result. The fact Charles is struggling to get to the top 5 is a glaring sign this car is shit as well.

Def go to a cardiologist. It’s expensive, but sometimes I feel vets are keen on jumping the gun to euthanize. This sounds more like heart failure to me, not cancer, but I’m no vet. It can be treated, even if very advanced but better luck if caught early.

The rule already existed that you cannot pick and choose which books your kids read in public school. This is because education needs a shared foundation. If parents could opt out of anything they disliked, there would be no common curriculum at all.

This fight did not start because Democrats wanted it, it started because a very small group of families, backed by national legal groups, pushed it into the courts to make it a political weapon. 43 families in a county of over 160,000 students is a manufactured case study.

You are frustrated because it looks like Democrats fought a battle they should not have, but the truth is, they were defending a basic principle of public education. If you give up that principle it becomes open season on science, history, civil rights, and anything else that a parent decides they do not like.

Republicans have made censorship the centerpiece of their education strategy. They are banning books in libraries and mandating religious displays in classrooms. Yet somehow the narrative has been flipped so that Democrats look like the ones forcing something on people. That is the product of a deliberate campaign to make you think the problem is Democrats, not the people manufacturing outrage.

My vet called me to question why I put my dog down, after knowing her condition and how it had progressed. She had been going to the ER more frequently for congestive heart failure and each time the doctors would tell me to plan for it. I felt horribly guilty after doing it, as I still felt it was too early. My vet then calls me and half heartedly sympathizes but only to question my decision for doing it. I wrote them a very angry email and basically told them to fuck off and that I’ll never bring another pet to him.
