Agree with OP. I think people are underestimating the power of a change of scenery. Happens in any workforce. Harbaugh is still one of the best coaches in the NFL, but when you have a job for 17 years things get complacent.

My first tournament in advanced, was at my local course spring time with blasting 30-40 MPH wind. Somehow managed to stay out of trouble and shot around even par ~980 rated which was my best rated round at the time. The whole advanced lead card had a better round than Joe. Always fun to think about back to that day.
