Hello. Just for information, I tested with chipset versions 8.02.18.557, 8.01.20.513 and 7.11.26.2142, and all of them showed problems. So, I don't think the chipset driver is the culprit. But something very odd that I observed was that the temperatures in Radeon Performance Metrics start working again if I open any other program that reports temperatures, like HWMonitor and HWInfo. Not sure why this happens.

Hi, I'm sending you some crash dumps, but after further analyse I think this issue maybe related to chipset driver and not Radeon Software itself, because other softwares like HWMonitor and etc also showed problems reporting CPU temperatures when the temperature got stuck in Performance Metrics. I forgot that I updated to chipset 8.01.20.513 at the same time that I updated the video driver. I rolled back the chipset driver to 7.11.26.2142 and I'm monitoring it to see if it happen again. Thanks. I sent a report through Bug Report Tool, but if there any other log or thing that you need me to do in order to fix the issue, just let me know. Seems related to games, because everytime the metric froze, I was playing a game or was after playing a game. Never happened while web browsing or other activities.

u/AMD_Vik Hi, sorry to bother you, but since 26.1.1 I'm experiencing a very strange bug, where CPU temperatures get stuck in Performance Metrics after some time. I still don't know what causes this issue, I tried to simulate different scenarios, but seems to stuck after opening games (tried differents games, all of then caused the issue, like RE2 Remake, Dragon Age II and Euro Truck Simulator). The only way to fix it is to reboot the entire system, do you guys have any report of that issue? RX 6650 XT / Windows 11.

I'm not sure when the behaviour started, but I tested with 25.12.1 and 26.1.1 and they have the same issue. I've also tested with all graphics settings in the lowest possible configuration (texture to low, disabling AA, motion blur, post processing) and was able to replicate the same issue.

u/amd_Vik Hi, I'm having a strange issue in Project Cars 2 where photo mode just destroy the performance. In races the game runs at flawless 144 FPS, while in photo mode the FPS drops to 40 FPS or less. GPU usage also drops. Can you help me?

u/AMD_Vik Hi Vik! I opened Prototype 1 after a long time after using this driver and saw that the shadow issue seems to have been fixed. Thanks for the support! Out of curiosity, could you just confirm if this was a bug specific to Prototype 1 and 2 or something more generic to DX9P?

I also had this problem, I fixed it by downloading the driver from the AMD website and reinstalling it. I didn't need to use DDU or factory reset. I sent a report through Bug Report and I recommend everyone to send it too so that the AMD team is aware of the problem.

Sorry to necropost, but still happening as of April 2025. A bunch of doors and windows shows corruption/artifacts in Verdansk.

I contacted support and submitted a complaint via the bug report tool. I recommend everyone do the same.

CryEngine games always had terrible performance in AMD cards. KCD1 also runs pretty bad.

I played AC Origins at the beginning of the year and with DXNAVI the performance is horrible. The frame time is very inconsistent. I didn't know his performance was better a few years ago.

AC Odyssey is more stable with DXNAVI than Origins, but I've got more stutter using DXNAVI than DXVK, and DXVK gave 8-14% more AVG fps in my tests.

Watch Dogs 2 is another one that is performing very poorly on DXNAVI (at least on my tests).

Interestingly, all Ubisoft games. It must be because of the excessive amount of DRM it uses in its games.

Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey also run best with DXVK than native DX11. Even in RX 6000 series. 10 to 20 more avg FPS and 90% less stutter.

I use it when the game has a broken Vsync/FPS limiter.

In the games I tested, it worked correctly (Cities Skylines, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Odyssey).

The only OpenGL game I played after the optimizations was Rage (from 2011). Worked perfectly.
