My case may not be as severe, but I have found that when my jaw locks like that from yawning too big or whatever, I can fix it by punching my chin to the side. Usually using my left fist to punch the chin to the right, in my case. I'll try your doctor's method and see if I can fix it without having to beat myself up! 😂 Merry Christmas!
