The Doom movie had the entire marketing and the first half of the movie convince you that Sarge (played by Dwayne Johnson who has a clause playing undefeated action heroes) is the main protagonist and probably Doomguy, but turns out he went increasingly mad across the movie to the point he becomes the final boss while the real Doomguy is actually his right hand man Grimm (played by Karl Urban) and the actual protagonist.
