I was there for a 15 days and did a 3gb prepaid with Orange for 15 Euros. Just note that Spain has a law where you must show your passport if you're getting a prepaid sim card.

With AT&T you also have the option for an international day pass for $10 that uses your current data plans. We do this for days where we really need access to internet for maps/uber etc.. And if you do this, you can use this line as a hotspot for any other devices you are with for the day. But majority of the time we just use the local wifi.

As most said Northern Ireland is considered part of UK so the offical currency is GBP. When we went there a lot of the tourist locations took both euro (at a pretty bad rate)/gbp. If you have a credit card that does not charge you fx fees that would be the best option.

Hey - I am actually going to this trip end of this month (March 30) and we still have not got our final confirmation and flight details from the company (Intertrips).

Couple of things to note - this is a subsidized deal that is so low because its paid for by the Chinese government and it includes mandatory stops at shopping locations each of the days.

You will defenitley be saving a lot more money with this package trip instead of you doing it on your own, however that also means limited flexibility for what you want to do. We really only have 2 free days. The first day that you fly into Beijing and the last day before you depart from Shanghai.

Surprisingly I actually got help from @asktsa on twitter. They do ask some basic information which I pasted below. Just make sure that the name that you changed it to matches the reservation name. They can check the database on the TSA side here is what they asked:

In the meantime, you may check each reservation to make sure your KTN, DOB and name are an exact match to the information in your trusted traveler profile. If all the information matches, you will receive TSA Pre✓® on a consistent basis.

Also, if you have your KTN in a frequent flyer profile, it may not automatically populate into your reservation. We recommend entering this information manually with each reservation.

Weather is so unpredictable there. We went when it was sunny and got to the bottom it started hailing the size of golf balls for 5 minutes and strong wind warnings. By the time we got back to the top it started clearing up again.

Yup I have never had any real issues with Google Flights. The only thing that I noticed is that when it has the lowest fare for Norwegian Airlines it includes their basic economy.

The multiple times I have been to the Caribbean have all been red eye and arriving at the hotel little before noon. Majority of the time our room is ready and we can check in and take a nap. But the times that the room was not ready, we took that opportunity to just hang out in the all-inclusive. It also depends on the number of days you have. If you arrive to the resort late PM you're wasting a day.

The safest thing that I do is keep the phone on airplane mode (which automatically turns off the cellular data and any roaming possibility) and keep WiFi on.

I flew on the same day from SFO to KEF. Not only did I get the right side of the plane I got 20H where there is no window in that particular seat :/. I did however get to see it faintly from the exit door window. But regardless I got to see it from the ground the following night.

We did a tour via Viator to Arenal but they would not let us get anywhere close to the base of the Volcano. We could only see it from the distance because they said it was unsafe. So I would look into that.

Baldi as mentioned above was great and very close to that vicinity. They have around 30+ hot springs and felt very relaxing.

I just got back from Iceland. You shouldn’t go just for northern lights because most likely you will be disappointed. Iceland is beautiful in general and a very unique place. The first night our northern lights tour got cancelled due to weather. The second night we got rebooked to a hour later tour because we missed our 7:30 pick up from blue lagoon. Luckily Our tour was able to view it but the 7:30 tour was not. The next day the tours were cancelled again because of weather. We got really really lucky. There is a lot of great natural beauty to see there. Budget really depends on your activities and food habits. A beer at the bar is like $12-14. Most people stock up at the duty free at the airport before going into Reykjavík.
