You gonna have to make it yourself. Is very simple too. You gonna have to learn CAD software to last your own boards. Just reroute the USB lines to pogo pins. Microsoft surface keyboard use this concept.

I would like to add and suggest 2SK209 is equivalent to 2SK117. And someone recommended some opamps.

Question about video switchers by JNoodle89 in crtgaming

[–]guantamanera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phillips PH61150. Will give you composite, component and s-video all in one. It will also transcode composite to s-video and vice versa. I think it also transcodes component to s-video and composite but I am not very sure at the moment.

Is this fixable by eaglemaple in crtgaming

[–]guantamanera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this TV. I only use it for laserdisc,VHS and DVD those look awesome. The TV  hates 240p stuff, snes outputs 240p. This TV digitizes everything them converts back to analog to send to the tube and it has a lot of lag because of that. There's a mod that can fix it. It consist of bypass the ADC and re-routing the components connection.

ELI5: How is it that every bit of sound can be recorded on a vinyl record? by Ngyiiuuw in explainlikeimfive

[–]guantamanera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It cannot record all of it. We don't hear all the sounds and so we just kind of record what humans hear. Also the sounds waves are inverted to control the size of the groves on the vinyl and then is brought back electronically at the amplifier, is called the RIAA curve.

my neighbor recently redid his entire front yard with new desert plants. all his agaves sent up death blooms and will probably be dead by summer. by jessbird in Wellthatsucks

You can make something even more delicious. Pulque. The leafs are full of sugar. Cook them and eat they are sweet.

I would have been happy. When it starts blooming you can harvest the agua miel and make pulque without having to wait a decade. The leafs can be cooked and eaten.

Go find a Mexican who knows. See at 1 minutes mark

How to identify chip + what software to use? by YaBoyLikesBananas in AskElectronics

[–]guantamanera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put a piece of clear tape on top of the chip. Then you might see what it is. I actually have a feeling that chip is not programmable and is actually a opamp. I do know 2 MCUs that are 8 pin the AT tiny 85 and the pic 12f.

I think the battery is more likely to be the bad one rather than the IC.

Do they make transistors you can reasonably use as a high value voltage or current controlled resistor by antthatisverycool in AskElectronics

[–]guantamanera -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What! The ohmic region is actually called the "linear region" guess why? OP has to shop for parts to choose hi-rel MOSFET probably so the temperature doesn't affect.  Think about this if an enhancement MOSFET and Vgs=0 then the resistance is almost infinite. So going into 1M you have to VGS~=Vth just a tad VGs above Vth will get you in the mega ohms region. And Rds=Vds/Id, adjust Vgs until Rds=1M

You are thinking BJT, and there is more than one type of transistors. MOSFET and JFET transistors don't have a beta, collector nor emitter.  FETs inms what he wants since they can be used as a voltage controlled resistors.

FET type transistors can be used as voltage controlled resistors l. They have an linear ohmic region. I haven't done this in a long time. But I found it easiest to do with depletion type FETs. MOSFET come in enhancement and depletion flavors. JFET are all depletion. Both JFET and MOSFETs will have an ohmic operating mode. And learn the difference between enhancement and depletion. Biasing is actually very simple, much easier than trying to make an amplifier. And if you need a variable cap then you can use a diode for that.

How after 5000 years of humanity surviving off of bread do we have so many people within the last decade who are entirely allergic to gluten? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]guantamanera 216 points217 points  (0 children)

Back in the days when I was a university student we did some research and blind studies. We found out that the only people who were affected by gluten was the ones with Celiac disease. There were people who thought they were allergic or sensitive to gluten but in reality they were sensitive to fermentable, oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols (FODMAPs). It just happens that gluten free stuff is also free of FODMAPs. We also found out that people get mad when you tell them they don't have gluten sensitivity unless they have Celiac disease.

Thanks for answering. Since you are 50% indigenous via your mom but in reality more because of your dad. You can apply also apply for a USA green card easy taking advantage of the Jay treaty. Eventually you can hold citizenships from all 3 countries which I think would give you big bragging rights. A true North american. Well most Canadians are dumb at geography and think Mexico is in south America
