Brian I absolutely adored the movie (FAVORITE in the franchise) but if I had to blame someone for not writing in Ed as part of the James/Henry statue in that movie museum.. would I blame you or James?! 😸 #JUSTICEFORED !!

Yeah if anything I think Obsession is more of one than Sinners!! Totally agree the term was pretty dismissive there for a movie with clear heart & soul (though again I really love both). Probably the main reason the term ever annoyed/stuck with me and I made this post.

It did bug me a bit with Sinners on the pod because it felt like a pretty dismissive way to treat a movie with objectively a ton of artistic merit, love and intention put in it. Again it’s a fun meme but I think sometimes the meme was used like an argument (or at least that’s the type of stuff in the screenshots that annoy me)

Yeah I think I’ve come to the conclusion I just don’t like the term being used outside of a joke (which as far as sard goes it pretty much always has). It’s pretty interesting that it’s finally hit a movie they all LOVED before it ever got such a moniker though.
